Moldy Manure
I purchased this potting soil three days ago and started all my spring vegetable and annual seeds in it. When I opened the bag and started using it, it had a pretty strong manure odor - I thought maybe because it was organic the smell was stronger and that it would get better as the soil was exposed to air and water. I was wrong. On day 2, I noticed significant mold growth and due to that + the stench, decided to scrap all 120 seedlings to start over with different soil.

    Free Frog with Purchase
This soil works great! So well that it housed a little garden frog for 4 months-- little dude hopped out while I was potting a house plant, scared the heck out of me.

      Japanese beetles in soil
Built a raised garden in April of this year. Filled the top foot with this soil. Just finished digging out hundreds of Japanese beetle grubs. Be warned this soil has poor quality control so contaminated soil is going to be prevalent. Home Depot was awesome about the situation. Helped me with a solution and got information to send an email and inform other customers.

We apologize for the experience you have had with Miracle-Gro Nature's Care Organic Potting Mix. Insects could not survive the composting and packing process. However, it is possible for them to enter the bag during shipping and storage. You can apply about 1/2 inch of horticultural sand on top of the soil of potted plants. Larvae cannot burrow through the sand and will die. Your feedback is important to us, and we will pass this on to our Quality Assurance Team. We would be interested in discussing this further so that we can learn more about this issue and extend our product guarantee. At your earliest convenience, please contact us and refer to your review to see what can be done. We can be reached at 877-220-3089. miracle-gro

Not gonna lie I prefer this WAY more than the other miracle grow organic soil (the one in the black and yellow bag), nothing against it, but this soil is extremely natural and I feel contains more organic compost and ingredients that the other one and my container garden, especially my cherry tomatoes plants are HUGE! With many tiny tomatoes growing.

This stuff is great! We tried the Dr. Earth brand and the Kellogg brand as well. This blows them away. Pictured are some Coleus transplants. They were started at the same time, at the same size. One in this product and one in the Dr. Earth. The ones in the Natures care have taken off while the ones in the Dr. Earth have barely grown in the month they've been in there.

I purchased this to use with my potted tomato plants this year. The bag says it is made specifically for potted plants. It is a organic all natural potting mix that is dry and light weight in the bag which makes it easier on the back. Once in the pot though, it maintains a perfect balance of moisture to keep my plants hydrated and happy. I don't have to worry about the plants if I am away for a few days. The bag states it feeds for up to two months, however recommends you start supplementing with fertilizer after a month. It is a little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for in this product.

Good for out of the Way Pots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm using this in pots that don't get watered every day, because they are a distance from the house. Thus far it is working well. I have included a picture of one at the mailbox containing impatiens which are doing nicely.

            Healthy mix for any plant
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time using Nature's Care® Organic & Natural Potting Mix and I must say I'm impressed with the richness it added to the soil. I did a 60/40 mix with Miracle Gro garden soil and ended up with a healthy mix for my indoor plants and outdoor flowers. Holds water tight and so far the plants love it. Easy to use and no bad smell. Can't wait to see the growth in a few weeks.
