No, this will not make the shower floor slippery. The miracle sealant will work great in the shower just remember to wipe up any excess a few minutes after applying.

Can this product be used on granite with leather finish?

Asked by JB September 23, 2020

Answer

Happy to help JB. Yes, Rust-Oleum Miracle Sealants 511 Seal & Enhance can be used on granite with a leather finish. Apply 511 Seal & Enhance as directed on the label, allow to remain on the surface for 3-5 minutes. After that time wipe all excess solution off the surface with a clean towel, do not allow it to dry on the surface. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6

Can the sealant be used on decomposed Granite?

Asked by Tricey August 31, 2020
1
Answer

Thank you for reaching out, Tricey! While Rust-Oleum 511 Seal and Enhance can be used on natural stone surfaces, we do not recommend it for use on loose stones, as it will be difficult to coat the surface and remove excess sealer. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

After 2 Coates and 24 hours of drying my tiles a sticky. Is this normal?

I have the same issue. I had used this same product ~3 yrs ago (3 coats I think), with no problems. This time I only have one coat on and after ~12hrs it is still significantly sticky. I was hoping to put a thicker coating on, but I still followed the instructions correctly, I thought (apply, wait 5 minutes, wipe away excess). The only thing I can think of is that I used the remaining sealant from 3 yrs ago - perhaps that is it? The bottle was stored inside and still sealed. I have a new bottle now too. I am wondering if I need just wait for it to dry (fans are running) or if I need to try applying the new stuff and that will dry faster?

can this product be used on a blanco granite composite sink that has etching?

Answer

Great question! Rust-Oleum Miracle Sealants 511 Seal and Enhance is suitable for use on granite surfaces. With any application, we recommend a test application first to ensure the desired results. Make sure the surface is clean and dry at the time of application and that it is allowed to cure for at least 12-24 before returning to service, We recommend keeping it dry for 72 hours after application for optimal results. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

Good question. Yes, Rust-Oleum Miracle Sealants Seal & Enhance can be applied after using Miracle Sealants 511 Impregnator. Liberally apply Seal & Enhance and allow it to penetrate the surface for 3-5 minutes, then wipe up all excess with a clean towel. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6

Great question. Rust-Oleum Miracle Sealants 511 Seal & Enhance can be applied to your slate floor, this will improve depth in color without gloss. Another option is Rust-Oleum Miracle Sealants Mira Matte, this also will enhance depth of color but provide a satin sheen. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Miracle-Sealants-32-oz-Mira-Matte-Finish-Sealer-Color-Enhancer-MIRMAT-QT-SG/100672951 - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6

Expensive but worth it. My customer has over 2000 sq. ft. of slate and needed repairs and resealing, the Miracle Sealants seal & enhance stone sealer had the best reviews. Since there is a lot of surface area I used a cheap 1 gallon weed sprayer to apply the sealer and used a bag of terry towels for drying up any standing puddles of sealer. Worked great, looks great. If you use the weed sprayer turn down the nozzle and go quick as not waste sealer.

I cleaned out the limescale around the bathroom faucet using 2000 and 8000 sand paper and applied the MIRACLE SEALANT following the direction twice and now the water drops around the faucet like a a raindrop on a new car.

great stone sealer
This stuff is a little pain to apply but worth it for stone. We had lots of trouble with slate in a bathroom but this provides nice enhancement to colors/shine plus is super easy to clean after sealing. Water beads on it and never soaks through. It is oil based so smells a lot during application. Attached pic is before after (sealer is dry in the picture)

can be sprayed
I started brushing this on and decided it was taking too long. I decided to put some into a regular spray bottle and it worked perfectly. After spraying on I went over the wet surface with a paint brush to even out any areas that seemed like there was too much. Looks great and ready for food splashing. Lol

Great Product
I used this on a tumbled marble. I love tumbled marble for its unique characteristics but it is essential to properly prep it to bring out the beauty of the stone and protect it for years of wear and tear. Here is a picture of Emperado 2" x 2" tumbled stone untreated and treated with 2 applications.

I would rate this 6 stars if I could. We have black quartz (the cheapest Home Depot quartz) counter tops in our galley kitchen. Before application, the black quartz showed water marks/hard water lime and got hazy easily. We would polish the quartz with top of the line polish, which would make it look shiny and bright. However, as soon as we did any work in the kitchen, the haze came back and the counters look blah. This 511 sealer seemed very expensive for the size bottle but we decided to try it. We applied the sealer, left on for 3-5 minutes, then wiped off with terry cloth and repeated twice more. The results were beyond amazing!! No more haze, EVER. No water marks, EVER. We spill water on the quartz, and wipe it with a paper towel and the quartz continues to gleam. We also used the same treatment on our Italian marble backsplash. The results were a little bit more shine and a little more color contrasting but nothing too dramatic. We cannot recommend this enough!
