    A:  The bit has 5/8-11 threaded arbor and will work on a polisher or variable speed grinder. You can also get an adapter (5/8-11 to 3/8" or 1/2" shank) to use with conventional drill.

      A:  Yes this diamond bit is designed for drilling granite and other types of hard stones as well as concrete. Drilling marble is not recommended since it may chip marble.

        Q:Planning on tiling from top of bath vanity to the ceiling. It's a glass tile. Would this work to cut through the tile to create an opening for wiring the vanity light?

        A:  No this diamond bit won't work for drilling through glass tile. Use vacuum brazed diamond core drill bit instead.

          It worked great, did the trick in a few minutes. HOWEVER, I was an idiot and didn’t read the description properly. Just looking at the picture, I assumed the skinny shaft went into my drill chuck and the larger end was the cutting head (like a hole saw). No, the skinny shaft is the cutting head and the larger end, lucky for me, is threaded and fit on my grinder. So, enough said :-)

          Drilled well but one tang broke off on third hole It's good that there is a lot of diamond material but it makes the difference ants too long and I think that's why it broke. Not a big hang up or anything.

          Edward, sorry to hear that. Please contact us to replace the bit. Also please make sure that you do not drill with high speed (10000 rpm) in dry condition. This bit is designed to drill at lower speed (2000 - 4000 rpm) with a variable speed grinder or a polisher. Wet drilling is even better. Toolocity

          It’s OK - just be aware that it’s not 3/8” as advertised, but 10mm. Immaterial for most applications, but if you need an actual 3/8” bit...look further.
