A: Hey RDW, A 30 Day load bearing test shows failure at 15lbs. However, our plastic chain is manufactured to be used as a visual barrier or visual warning device. Customers have hung small plants with our chain, but I wouldn't advise hanging anything of value from this chain as it's not intended to be used for load bearing applications. Thanks

Answer This Question

A: Hi Mary, The only way to open or disconnect the links would be to cut them with a pair of angle cutters or tin snips. If you'd like single links, check out our Master Links. When those are snapped together they make one link of chain. (Traditionally used to repair or connect chain to an eye bolt or similar item.) This particular item would weigh approximately one pound.
