Product Details

This Multinautic wheel kit box includes one pair of sturdy 5 in. double rollers with mobile bases to create a boat or PWC mooring ramp. With 3 boxes, you can build a 2000 lbs. capacity ramp; with 4 boxes, you can build a 2500 lbs. capacity ramp. The more boxes you get, the longer and sturdier ramp you will be able to create to meet your specific needs. The bases wobble to assure a snug fit to the hull. Add a keel roller and a winch and you'll get a small craft ramp system which is the most economical and safe way to protect your valuable investment. Have a look at the assembly guide for material list suggested to complete the project.

    A:  Hi Eddie, the U-shape base is welded to the vertical tabs that hold the pivot. So if I understand you well, it's not possible to rotate the base while keeping it in line with the keel roller and the rest of the assembly.         A:  With each wheel kit there are two sets (4 wheels) of wheels. Two wheels on each bracket. Two brackets, one for each side.

        A:  Hello, I understand the confusion here... the first bullet should be 4x 5 in. Wheels. As shown in the second picture, the box contains 2 double rollers (4 wheels on 2 bases). To create a 2000 lbs boat ramp, we recommend the use of 3 of these boxes. You can find the assembly guide on our website www.multinautic.com under "Support" tab, Technical guides, Boat ramp assembly guide. Hope this helps.

          A:  The brackets are hinged in the middle allowing varying dynamic angles. The maximum angle (tilting of wheel) is different on both sides. On one side the maximum angle is considerably more than the other. This helps with varying deadrise. When the boat is ramped the wheels change angle to match the deadrise of the boat.

            Wheels kept falling off
            Bought four pairs of these wheel kits to use on a ramp for my 14.5’ Aluminum Boat as they seemed like a solid quality item. Built the ramp and installed the wheels per instructions. Second time using the ramp one wheel fell off and one other almost did. The cause? The supplied sub-sized cotter pins. They refer to these as hinch pins which they most definitely are not! You would think for what I paid for those wheel kits, they would not cheap out on cotter pins. The heads of the pins were so minuscule that they fall down in the bored hole an so let the washers slip over them thus letting the wheels come off and allowing the axle to scrape along the bottom of my boat until I saw that the wheel had fallen off. Even the mounting screws were feeble small Phillips head. I used 1-1/2” Robertson heads deck screws to securely fasten the units. I ended up replacing all the supplied weak cotter pins with much more robust ones. The pictures show the difference. Disappointed to say the least!

                Buyer beware
                Just received kit. You are just getting 2 sets of wheels. Ad is deceiving. This is not a kit for a ramp, only the wheels.

                  Decent quality but read the add carefully
                  Decent quality but read the add carefully to know what you get. Ordered these and received them, for some reason I thought that when the description said 2 pair, it meant i would get 2 pair of the wheel sets but in fact you really only get one pair that has 4 wheels. My bad but when i figured the cost of ordering another set along with the price of treated lumber, winch etc I found it was cheaper to find and buy an old trailer and use it as a ramp. The quality of the material received looks decent so I will save it and perhaps use it for some other project some time.

                  Works Great
                  I have a 16.5 Crestliner sport angler with 90 hp Mercury and I built a boat ramp using these wheels last year. My boat is heavy and probably about the maximum weight of this ramp, but it works very well. Hard cranking though with the 1400 lb winch, I would suggest a 2500 lb. I just purchased an electric winch which I haven't tried yet, to make life easier. The plastic rollers are heavy duty and don't damage my aluminum hull at all. The boat rolls up the ramp nicely and rolls back into the lake by itself. With this system you can get your boat right out on dry land where you can easily work on it, clean and cover it...and not worry about it getting damaged.
