A: Not directly. You would need a converter to either turn this DC power output to 120v or 240v AC for charging. The other issue maybe that the power output on a single panel maybe too small.. the car controls the charging for level 1 and level 2 charging through on board converter and it might try and draw more power than this unit can supply causing the converter to trip. If you are looking for a stand alone solution this is not it.
A: if your car runs on a battery, then it should charge it. how fast? that not my expertise, it does however charge my camper battery in an hour. it is a 12-volt auto battery
A: You cannot use this to charge your vehicle, if you set up your whole off grid solar system with inverter with 120 pure sine plug in, you might be able to do it that way, but that would be a very inefficient way to charge your vehicle. As far as connecting directly to the car battery, it is a NO, you risk damaging the battery. Please feel free to contact Nature Power tech support for any additional questions. 1800-599-0590.
A: No you can not charge an electric vehicle with this panel. You would need at least 1200 watts.
A: No this model is primarily for recharging 12V batteries in a RV, or smaller Off Grid solar set up.
A: You will need to upgrade the controller to at least a 30A. You can connect kit to as many batteries as you like, 2 x 180W panels should fully charge 4 batteries 100Ah each by sundown. For any additional questions, please call Nature Power customer service phone number at 1800-588-0590.
A: Yes if connected properly.
A: Yes, you can, it depends on how many solar panels you use in your solar array, The number of panels and batteries will determine the watts produced and used every day. You can buy an inverter that is off grid or pro grid to connect to your house Circuit Breaker. Please feel free to contact Nature Power tech support for any additional questions.1800-588-0590.
A: Not really. Best use is for charging or operating 12V items.
A: You can buy the Nature Power. 2-in-1 SAE wire, 10 AWG. for any additional questions, please feel free to call Nature Power tech support line at 1800-588-0590.
A: The safe option would be the Renogy 5 string solar combine box (internet #319499676) with circuit breakers and surge protector. This unit is water proof and allows you to shut off the electrical current at the solar panels. Renogy also makes the Male/Female branch connectors (internet #301811048) and MC4 cable connectors (internet #308860705). However this option leaves you with live wires. As for wire size, DC current does not travel long distance and a heavy gauge wire is recommended.
