With this kit, you have the charge controller and the solar panel, you still have to buy the deep cycle battery (100 to 200Ah) and the inverter. A:  No. You need a power storage device, ie., Battery(s). You also need a DC to AC inverter. You plug your extension cord plug into the inverter to draw out AC current. 

A:  No. It comes with a battery charge controller so it doesn’t overcharge a battery. To plug 110 volt in, you’d need to attach an inverter to the battery and plug into that. Inverters come with various capacities so you’d need to match what you’re planning to plug in with an inverter with sufficient (or preferably, greater) capacity and a battery that also has sufficient capacity. 

A:  No. You will need a 12 volt battery to store the power from this kit. Also, you will need a 12vdc to 120vac inverter The battery(s) and inverter need to be sized for the load you intend to power. A:  Not really. They are 12 volt, and without extensive and expensive additional equipment and PROFESSIONAL set up, you would cause severe damage. These are more suitable for a low voltage system charging batteries.

A:  I thought the whole point of generating your own electricity,was to become energy self sufficient,and cut your ties with the "local power company",not strengthen them ?
