Product Details

Help your drainage system do its job without leaves and debris bogging it down. The 6 in. round drain grate blocks them from entering and potentially clogging the pipeline, as it drains light flows of stormwater from small lawns, landscaped areas, patios, and walkways. The 6 in. Round Drain Grate, also known as a drain cover, has an open surface area of 9.1 sq. in. and a flow rate of 28 GPM. Connects to the Spee-D Catch Basin Drain, 6 in. sewer and drain pipe & fittings and 6 in. single-wall corrugated pipe for a soil-tight fit. The pipe grate is ADA Compliant and heel-proof. Built to stand up to the elements, it's made of polyethylene, a type of plastic, using a combination of virgin and recycled content treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking from the sun. As part of a complete drainage system, the grate blocks leaves and debris as water enters drain pipes. The pipes carry the water to a discharge point downstream such as a pop-up emitter, or to percolate into the ground with a dry well or infiltration trench.     A:  Yes it has a fit collar that can be adjusted by trimming or filing raised bumps.

      A:  This will not fit into a schedule 40 coupling. It is designed to fit 6" Sewer and drain pipe (SDR 35) and fittings as well as 6" corrugated pipe.

        A:  I use these around my home for rain water deflection. I connect the downspout to 4" corrugated drain pipe terminating in either a 6" sch40 or a NDS6 in. Plastic Round Speed-D Styrene Drainage Catch Basin the grate fits either.

        A:  A multi-purpose adhesive that bonds to polyolefin will adhere to this grate. Please note that it is not necessary to use adhesive to install this grate.
