Drain the stormwater into your drainage system, not the leaves and debris that can potentially clog it. The 6 in. Square Drain Grate, also known as a drain cover is a good choice for draining light flows of stormwater from small lawns, landscaped areas, patios, and walkways to drain pipe. The 6 in. Drain Grate has an open surface area of 10.4 sq. in. and flow rate of 32 GPM. The square grate has a flared-out design for more open surface area and flow capacity compared to a round grate matching the pipe diameter. Connects to 3 in. & 4 in. sewer and drain pipes & fittings, 3 in. & 4 in. single-wall corrugated pipes, and 3 in. & 4 in. triple-wall pipes for a soil-tight fit. Ideal where there isn't enough depth for a catch basin. The pipe grate is ADA Compliant and heel-proof. Made of polyethylene, a type of plastic, using a mix of virgin and recycled content treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking. As part of a complete drainage system, the grate drains water and prevents debris from entering drain pipes. Pipes carry the water to a discharge point downstream such as a pop-up emitter, or to percolate into the ground with a dry well or infiltration trench. Q:every time there is a heavy rain, my drain covers come off. Is there something I can use to secure them down so this won?t happen again?

Answer This Question

A:  Hi Carolyn, you can secure the drain grate by apply a bead of waterproof silicone or adhesive. These will secure the grate to the pipe.

    A:  The measurements are 5.9 x 5.9 x 2 inches.

      A:  The bottom outlet diameter is 3-7/8". It designed to fit 3" & 4" sewer and drain (SDR-35, not schedule 40) pipe and 3" & 4" corrugated pipe.
