Product Details

Capture excess stormwater with a drainage solution that covers more surface area than just the pipe diameter alone using the flared-out design of the 9 in. Square Low-Profile Adapter Kit. Includes the low-profile adapter, green grate, and outlet adapter to drain heavy flows from lawns, landscaped areas, under downspouts, patios, and walkways. The 9 in. Square Low-Profile Adapter, made of polystyrene, connects to 3 in. & 4 in. single-wall corrugated, sewer and drain pipe, triple-wall-pipe, and 4 in. Sch. 40 and triple-wall pipes with the included outlet adapter (#1243). The kit also includes a 9 in. square polyethylene drain grate to block debris and leaves from entering and clogging the pipeline. Grate has an open surface area of 39.5 sq. in. and 121 GPM flow capacity. As part of a complete drainage system, the adapter collects and directs water to drain pipe, which carry it to a discharge point downstream such as a pop-up emitter, or to percolate into the ground with a dry well or infiltration trench.         This is a very sturdy and quality product. I bought it to replace a 4" square catch basin which was always clogging due to its smaller size. I did have to do a bit of work to retrofit this 6" basin to the in-the-ground portion, but it was using a Dremel tool to buzz down the plastic, which was fairly easy. I haven't had any problem with clogging since installing this larger size.
