Protect your property from stormwater runoff and standing water with this 9-in. square catch basin drain kit. When you add this catch basin drain to your drainage system, you can manage heavy waterflow from your lawn, landscaped area, downspout, patio or walkway. It includes four catch basin kits with a grate, outlet adapters and a plug. For convenient access and cleaning, it features a built-in basin sump.
  • Collect stormwater runoff and standing water on your property and direct to drain pipes before it causes costly property damage
  • Manage moderate flows of water from lawns, landscaped areas, under downspouts, patios and walkways
  • Connects to 3 in. and 4-in. sewer and drain, single-wall corrugated and triple-wall pipes and 4-in. Sch. 40 pipe with included outlet adapters

    A:  Hi Samf, NDS recommends to use gravel not sad. Dig a hole deep enough for overall height of basin plus 4”-6” for the a bed of ½” to ¾” compacted gravel.

        A:  This can either be a terminal sump, box, using one hole, or an in- line box, one of several , thus requiring connection pipe to the next box in the line.

              Bought a couple of these to use in a yard drainage project and they worked out perfectly. I used them in areas where I didn't want a larger drainage catch. They're easy to install.

                I've installed these catch basins for years. These 9x9 catch basins are easy to install and they include almost everything you need except the pipe. This basin comes with the cap in case you only want water to flow out of one side. The grate comes with this catch basin, unlike the 6 inch round version. The grate on this unit is secured to by 2 small phillips head screws. This drain box is really sturdy and appears to be made from a plastic that is similar in weight to the NDS grate covers.

                  I don't have anything to compare it to so I'll just say that the install of this was great. I read the instructions (recommended) and installed it with one end plugged and the other open. The 4" pipe is a looser sort of fit but it only a drain line. I guess the key to having a basin work properly is to prepare your job correctly, have the right pitch for the drain line, set it at the right height, use gravel under the basin so it doesn't settle and clean it out every so often.

                  This is a very durable and good catch basin for drainage. You can connect 4" PVC pipes to this basin. It comes with 2 each snap on connectors, with the option of keeping one as a 4" plug, if you are using only one side. It also has a very durable grate with 2 stainless steel screws for easy removal for cleaning.
