Hi there! This product has a maximum operating temperature of 200 °F. Since a generator exhaust will likely exceed that temperature, we don't recommend using this product for this application.
Hi there! Yes, this product is recommended for short-term use only. If you need something longer than 6-9 months, we would recommend looking into one of our products that are made with a butyl adhesive for this application. We hope this helps!
For HVAC applications, we recommend a UL-Listed tape such as https://www.homedepot.com/p/Nashua-Tape-2-5-in-x-60-yd-324A-Premium-Foil-HVAC-UL-Listed-Sealer-Duct-Tape-1542698/100048600 or https://www.homedepot.com/p/Nashua-Tape-1-89-in-x-60-yd-557-Pro-Grade-UL-Listed-Duct-Tape-1542699/100208576
Hi there. The max operating temp for this tape is 200°F.
That would probably depend on the condition of the exterior paint. If paint is sound, tape will not lift it.
Thank you for your question. Painted surfaces can be challenging. Nashua 300 Heavy-Duty duct tape is not designed for "clean removal" and could potentially leave residue or pull paint upon removal - especially if left for long periods of outdoor exposure.
