Hi there! This product has a maximum operating temperature of 200 °F. Since a generator exhaust will likely exceed that temperature, we don't recommend using this product for this application.

If using this to attach something to an exterior wall, if/when one had to unattach it and peel off the tape, would one be peeling off the paint as well?
That would probably depend on the condition of the exterior paint. If paint is sound, tape will not lift it.
