hi SarahV, you will need to make some modifications to the kit to use with a gas element. visit our website at http://outdoorlivingkits.com/contact and fill out a form and we will have someone contact you with more information for your specific project.
Hi Fred, there is not a bowl insert for the wood. We recommend putting in some gravel then topping it off with sand before you put in your wood for a fire. If you have additional questions please visit our website and submit a contact form. www.outdoorlivingkits.com
Hi Gz. Thank you for your question. Check out this link from Home Depot.Com: https://www.homedepot.com/s/Firepit%2520screens?NCNI-5 https://www.homedepot.com/s/Firepit%2520Accessories?NCNI-5 Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Rick_HD_OC
There is not an ash catcher included with the kit. We recommend after you install the fire pit you put in gravel and then sand. The sand will make it easier to scoop out the ashes.
I will buy a fireplace grate to put inside so air can circulate better when building the fire. It may also make it easier to clean the ashes.
I didn’t have an air flow issue. I had enough pea gravel at the bottom so the top of the fire pit was about 8” above the gravel.
We are projecting 6 weeks from now. We have been playing catch up with the large amount of orders we have gotten this season.
Hi Nance, the installation instructions are listed on the Home Depot site. If you want us to email them to you please visit our website at http://outdoorlivingkits.com/contact and fill out the form. we recommend you put gravel then sand. The sand is there to help scoop out the ashes. You can use the steel bowl as well, we just don't offer that as an option.
The Fire Ring Cap is sold with Home Depot online, however due to a large demand they are currently out of stock. They will be coming back in a few weeks as we get through our backlog of orders.
We do not currently sell the block only on Home Depot and we are not set up for custom orders. Please visit our website at www.outdoorlivingkits.com and fill out a contact us form and we will find you a distributor who can sell it.
