Do they fade after sun exposure?

2' OF MY FLOORING IS EXPOSED TO THE MORNING SUN, I SEE VERY LITTLE FADING. I COMPARE THIS WITH THE FLOORING UNDER A CARPET IN THE CENTER OF THE ROOM. HOWEVER, I MOP THE FLOOR USING MURPHY'S OIL SOAP AND THAT RESTORES THE COLOR.

Can I connect the tiles with the pattern running parallel, but staggered, in order to offset the length pattern and make it look less “tile-like”?

I don’t want to see the ends of each tile line up, but I want the planks to run in the same direction.

Yes, you can connect the tiles so the planks go vertically and horizontally like a checker board.

I want to use this product(outdoor composite deck tiles)to create a dance floor on my driveway?will these move around?

it's for a wedding, instead of renting a dance floor. the driveway is asphalt.

As long as the driveway is relatively level it should be fine. Its heavy enough not to move.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from we got this product for our patio (11x8.5 feet). I did some research and found that this product ... we got this product for our patio (11x8.5 feet). I did some research and found that this product had the best rating ! i loved both the peruvian teak and brazilian ipe then decided to go with the darker brazilian ipe. Its turned our patio into a very cozy place to hangout! Laying these tiles were really easy. Best part is that u lay in parts n move your furniture around a little. I bought a jigsaw to cut the edges and it was very easy to cut them. You could finish the whole project in a few hours..locking the tiles by just stepping on them. Loved the fact that the tiles could also lock in any direction. After i finished laying i had one plank width of space along the edge. I could salvage all 4 pieces from a few tiles as the middle pieces still locked with each other sideways. (hey you wont walk on the edge if there is a wall!) Only thing to me is it kinda looks plasticky if u take a closer look. but who cares. its not gonna catch mould like real wood!

I have an ugly patio that some incompetent company put in and have wanted to do something about it. I'm 72 years old with construction skills that leave much to be desired and estimates for having a deck put in were in the $8000 range. These tiles solved the problem. I wish I had known about them years ago. They look just like the photo. Give the impression of wood. They easily snap together and that connection is solid. The support structure allows for water to drain through while also providing a sturdy base. They also appear to be easy to cut to fit corners and such with a compact circular saw or jigsaw . I bought one box of tiles (10 sq ft) to try them out and have now ordered ten more boxes, along with the pieces that finish off the edges. I'll likely need more and will gladly purchase them. Are they as good as a real deck? That's a moot point. But these tiles will provide a great looking and functional substitute for a fraction of the quoted $8000 and I don't have to seal them or regularly treat them. Works for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These deck tiles transformed my back patio! Very easy to install and not too much struggle to pic... These deck tiles transformed my back patio! Very easy to install and not too much struggle to pick back up. I did my whole 200sqft patio in one evening. I intended for these tiles to cover my existing concrete patio that had about 0-2 inches in mismatch between the concrete slabs due to settling. I didn’t feel like spending the time or money on a more permanent leveling solution so I just used a combination of sand and gravel to fill in the depth of the 1-2 inches of mismatch between the slabs. You can feel a bit of give when stepping on the tiles that are laid on sand, however after a few weeks they’ve seemed to settle quite well. Also where the gap was deeper (2”) there is a bit of visible unevenness that I believe I could rather easily improve if I lifted the tiles back up to re-rake the sand/gravel more evenly. I did have to lay trash bags over the sand beneath the tiles due to the awful crunching noise that was made when the tiles were directly atop the sand. If you’re already working with a relatively even surface these tiles work wonderfully! And if you have a bit of unevenness you can still make them work. Even one month later I still find myself admiring the improvement to the aesthetic of my backyard with these tiles installed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wanted to order this product last Spring but it was out of stock and was disappointed. I called... I wanted to order this product last Spring but it was out of stock and was disappointed. I called the distributor and they were kind enough to send me one tile each for 2 colors I was debating and since I would need to order 20 boxes...nearly 200 sq. ft. I was surprised as to the great quality of the tiles. I was determined to order the Canadian Maple tiles as soon as I saw them in stock this Spring so 20 boxes sat in my dining room until the weather warmed up. The tiles snap over one side of the tile and under the other side so they are very secure but the installation took me a little more time than I expected. The last row of tiles were an inch too long and I easily cut them with a wet tile saw. The tile saw did not go all the way through to the supporting grid layer but garden clippers took care of it. I love my tiles and I waited sooooo long to get them. I am a Virginia Master Gardener and obsess over my townhouse patio design and these tiles impressed me.

I selected this product after many years of research to remodel my southern wrap around porch decking. After 25+ years of wear and tear, I was starting to notice a few weak places in the original decking boards. I was highly impressed with the fact that this product doesn't rot, fade, or mold. No staining, no yearly treating and sealing, no nails or screws to pop up or rust. I am 71 years old and needed a way to do this job by myself. Working with these 12X12 squares made this possible for me! I used a compound miter saw to make my cuts with. I did make the installation process a little easier on the hands to connect the squares by using a rubber mallet. It's so easy to clean. So far I've only used a small leaf blower to blow the sand off with. It can also be sprayed off with a water hose and dries very quickly. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and have highly recommended to my family and friends.

The description in the specifications state on HD’s site as well as New Tech Woods site that these are 12”, and there’s 10sf per box. The truth is they’re 11.8” and there’s only 9.7sf per box. If you are doing a small area that discrepancy may not be a big deal, but if you are doing a large area like i was then it is a big deal. My area was 288sf so 29 boxes would have been perfect. Tech woods project calculator also said I’d need 29. Since they werent actually a foot i needed to order another box. When i called and emailed about the problem they just argued that they were a foot, and I was the first one to complain. SMH the only place you learn the true measurement is after to receive it and see it printed on the box. A little too late. So Tech Wood refused to send me another box to correct their mistake so I ended up ordering one more box. Same color. But the box I received the color on the box was shown as Teak but it was lighter and duller than all the rest. Very noticeable. Not happy at all with Tech Wood’s customer service or quality control. Will not buy another product of theirs.
