Product Overview

We are proud to introduce our new Naturale Decking Line. It is the most realistic composite to date. We have spent many hours studying how to get the look of wood just right. The outcome is this new Naturale Line. This is the most realistic grain pattern out on the market with just the right amount of texture even your guests might get confused thinking it is real wood. The board still has the great stain, fade and scratch resistance of our original line. The board has 2-different sides one with a wood grain and one without. This is the hollow board with groove in it. We highly suggest you order a sample before you order, as settings on monitor are different for everyone.
  • New naturale line gives the board the most realistic wood look in the industry
  • UltraShield coating gives the decking board ultra-stain, scratch and fades resistance
  • Grooved for hidden fastener
  • 25 year warranty
  • Tough outer shell will keep the color and beauty of your deck for years to come
  • Easy to clean
  • We highly suggest you order a sample before you order as settings on monitor are different for everyone

Can this be installed over pressure treated plywood?

Hello Cathy. We don't recommend installing on plywood, due to not enough air space for drainage. Also it'll void our warranty. Please if you have any further questions please email us at inquiry@newtechwood.com.

Hello GACTN. Yes, the board is water resistant. Just FYI this isn't a real Teak board, it a plastic composite board. Please if you have any further questions please email us at inquiry@newtechwood.com.

Can this product lay directly on concrete?

Asked by andy February 23, 2019

Answer

Hi, Andy. It cannot. If you are considering installing our material on a concrete patio, you would want to use our deck tiles, listed here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/NewTechWood-UltraShield-Naturale-1-ft-x-1-ft-Quick-Deck-Outdoor-Composite-Deck-Tile-in-Westminster-Gray-10-sq-ft-Per-Box-US-QD-ZX-GY/206414825.

What is maximum joist spacing that this material can span?

Asked by Sandra February 11, 2019

Answer

Hi, Sandra. As this is 16 inches on center, the maximum joist spacing would be 16 inches.

Steps with no screws in sight :)
I bought 6, 8' columbus. I set them in sets to mirror for hidden fasteners. A bit more time consuming and meticulous, worth the result intended, my design worked great.

I am very happy with the NewTechWood products that we used on our new deck. We used a combination of Westminster Gray Voyager with Hawaiian Charcoal as a border. The Voyager material was lighter and easier to handle than the solid border pieces and they worked together perfectly. The T Clip system left us with a beautiful surface free of screw heads and allows space for drainage. People that see it are shocked that this was an owner built project.

If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. ...
If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. BEWARE. I love the look of this - I really wanted to avoid the fake woodgrain plastic look of most of the other composites out there so we went with this. They claim that this is durable. It is false. This is complete garbage that is so soft that it scratches and gouges immediately. By the time we completed installation, there were already scratches from just setting down our tools as we were building (not throwing or dragging tools but simply using them like normal, responsible adult human beings do when they build a deck) and normal walking across the deck. You know, with our feet. As people tend to do with decks. I don't see how you could ever put furniture directly on here without destroying the product. Another example - there was a tiny pebble under an outdoor rug that got stepped on maybe 3 times by CHILDREN & now there is permanent damage in the plank. Let me repeat that - it can't stand up to a rock that was stepped on by kids weighing no more than 42 pounds. I'm really astonished at how precious and delicate this is. We made a major investment and we could not be more disappointed. I don't see how this is going to stand up over time if it can't handle normal foot traffic. I imagine hot sun and subzero winters with snow and ice will further destroy this junk. Thankfully, we won't be shoveling this deck due to the location on the house, but if we did I'm sure it would be trashed by spring because it is so soft and scratches so easily. Also, when I say 'scratches' I mean SCRATCHES, not microscopic, picky, barely noticeable scars. These are notable and cannot be fixed. Avoid being as disappointed as we are and go with another product. Don't fall for the pretty texture. It won't last.
