We were really excited to get a fryer. It will be fun to take us camping when we go with a group....
We were really excited to get a fryer. It will be fun to take us camping when we go with a group. It is really nice that it has the temperature gauge right on it so you can keep track of where your oil is at. The stand is on the shorter side as you can see by the photos. The double basket is very nice so you can either make more of one item or you can have two different items cooking at once. My husband loves to make wings and fries and it’s been a huge hit with everyone. It does take quite a bit of time to clean up even though it’s not hard, so you do need to keep that in mind. We prefer to use it when we are cooking for a group so the time of cleaning it after is worth it. Overall we’re very happy with this fryer.

This fish fryer setup is great. I had expected to have to bolt together some sort of flimsy base designed to fit into a box, but the stand came fully assembled and welded together. One nut fastened the burner and heat shield to the stand. Screw the regulator and hose into the burner. Three screws with lock washers and nuts fasten the handles to the baskets. The thermometer clips to the side of the pan. That’s it for assembly. It goes together pretty quickly. Once you connect the propane tank that you supply, it’s almost ready to go. The burner has a twist open/closed damper that can be locked in place with phillips screws. Use the damper to adjust the flame to a mostly blue instead of orange appearance. This fryer setup is great for homemade french fries. I recommend this setup.

If you love out doors its a must have!
My son and i caught a dozen white bass and were excited to try the new fish fryer out. Setup was quick and it took about 15 min to get the oil to 350 degrees. This was my first time using a fish fryer so was a little nervous to not burn the fish. I like that it does have adjustable flame knob . Frying the fish was a success every one loved it . It took about 1hr for the oil to cool down to manageable temperature and the clean up of the pan and the baskets was easier than i thought. It did require little of scrubing but cleanned well, i do think i put a little more oil than needed, als this can be used for frying pans or boil larger pots or doing fried rice, very excited to use it again. Great item to have if power goes out from a storm.

The quality of this product is disappointing. There are very few instructions that come with the fryer. That in its self isn’t too big a problem because if you’re at all familiar with using a fish fryer, it’s not complicated
The bigger issue with the unit is the shallow pan that holds the hot oil. It’s so shallow that it has the potential to splash out pretty easily..add to that, the metal quality of the pan is concerning. It seems too thin to use for heating oil to the temps needed to fry fish properly

NexGrill has another substantial product out in this double basket Fish Fryer. This product only requires only minor assembly. The handles need installed on the baskets and the burner needs installed on the stand. Ill hardware is included and assembly only takes a single wrench or pliers. The aluminum pot is medium weight and should dissipate heat fairly well. The dual basket gives you the option to use each for different food items or double up and stagger like items. Will be running several batches of fish, hush puppies, onion rings and funnel cakes through this one on an upcoming summer, family, campout.
