Much better than other sticks I have owned. The plastic handle won’t rot like the wooden ones we have owned. Yes we tend to leave them outside. It’s an impressive 37” long and the diameter of the metal is plenty thick enough. We use these sticks year round mostly for hot dogs and marshmallows. If you want it to stay nice don’t use the fire to burn off your marshmallow remains. It’s got a rope so you can hang it up but that’s if you put it away.

While I guess this stick is for grilling in a BBQ grill, I picked this forked stick for our hot dog roasts we have a few times a year over our fire pit. This stick is good and long, which is great for our purposes. The ruler in the photo is 2 foot long, so you can see that this stick is definitely 37" as it states in the description. The wooden handle is sturdy and it also has a leather loop for hanging up the stick between uses. The stick is definitely big enough to roast two hot dogs or several marshmallows. The ends are pointed to make getting food onto the stick easy. A big step up from the branches we used to use!

Roasting Stick review: HOT DOG! This thing is perfect for roasting hot dogs or march-mallows over an open fire or hot charcoal briquettes! On Easter Sunday this year we let our Grandson roast march-mallows over the grill without worry of him getting burned since the stick is so freakin' long! It is also easy to clean and has some plastic tips to cover the ends when not in use. And 5 bucks - what a deal. Grill cooking is so much better now! Buy this thing if you cook outside! There ya go!

Good roasting stick because it is very long keeping you...
Good roasting stick because it is very long keeping you away from the flame. Has 2 prongs so roasting hot dogs or marshmallows two at a time is great. I do wish however that it was retractable because storing it at this length is a bit challenging if you don’t have the space,but overall very nice.
