We received the Niagara Conservation Trimax Dual Thread Adjustable flow rate PCA Spray faucet aerator with a chrome outer ring packaged in a plastic bag (like a zippered sandwich bag) which was fine. I would rather save a dollar on the item price, than have it come in pretty packaging. Apparently due to its small size it came in a bubble insulated mailing 5x7 envelope and apparently was crushed during deliver as the chrome outer ring (which is plastic with chrome plating) was oval not round and had a crack, so I was unable to use that part of the aerator to make my faucet pretty after installing the aerator. I'm still giving 5 stars for quality as i feel that was completely a shipping problem. We have well water with some hard water scale and sediments; we do have a system in place which helps with that but it is still noticeable at key times of year. That in mind, I wondered if that would affect flow rate, pressure, and if the filter in the aerator would get clogged/scaled over (it has on others). The unit came with the instructions written on the bag, they were very easy to follow and we did have the faucet with the inside threads, so the plastic tool provided and instructions quickly told me what to do to convert it from outer thread ready (as it comes) to inside threads for installation. It took less than 1.5 minutes to unthread old, convert new, and screw on. We immediately noticed a difference in water flow with the first turn on. It has 3 flow settings: low medium high (I guess you could call them) and all work equally well. Therefore, it comes down to personal choice based on how much pressure you want to feel and the amount of water you wish to conserve. I tend to keep it right in the middle although I have had on low and highest flow rate settings; you change setting by turning the white part (see picture included) clockwise/counterclockwise. Due to my broken chrome outer ring, I cannot say if you need to remove that each time you want to adjust it or if it’s fully adjustable with the chrome ring on; but here nor there; it is still easy to adjust flow rate. For an accurate review we timed the different flow rates for our normal head vs the Trimax on its lowest and highest. We allowed 2 gallons of water to flow, times were: 40 seconds with our old head, 4 minutes 12 seconds on low, 1 minute 40 seconds on high, we did not time medium flow. So even on high, the water conservation is significant. We have been using for 2 ½ weeks now and are very pleased with the item. It has an amazing flow rate and consistent pressure on any of the 3 settings. The inner filter shows no signs of any problems based on the well water we run through it daily. I would recommend a better shipping method with the products current packaging, but would highly recommend the item and intend to continue using it. I would also purchase additional aerators for other faucets in our home.

The Niagara Conservation Trimax Dual Thread Adjustable Flow Rate Pca Spray Chrome and Black did not work for me.
I first attempted to install the aerator exactly as instructed for my application. No matter how hard I pushed and squeezed, the thickness of the rubber washers prevented the aerator from grabbing the threads on my faucet.
Removing the top washer I was able to attach the aerator. Upon turning on my faucet the aerator started leaking and no amount of tightening would stop it. While it was attached, and still leaking, I tried the three different settings of the aerator and was displeased with the fact that instead of one stream of water you get multiple jets. The force of those jets hitting my stainless steel sink caused water to spray onto the counter leaving a mess to be cleaned up.
I had a few of my own washers that I tried and was never successful with getting the leaks to stop. The build quality struck me as being very cheap based upon the weight and feel of the aerator. Long story short, my old aerator is back on my faucet.

The install took less than 1 minute. it is equally easy on internal or external threads. it is a faucet aerator, so there is not a lot going on except, it has a three setting flow adjustment, that was a nice feature, especially if you do not expect features on a faucet aerator. and it worked very well. to sum it up, inexpensive, versatile and works well,.

I got this flow rate aerator to replace my old aerator from one of my sinks and I like that it does exactly as described. It works a lot better than the older aerators. It comes the with the option for three settings 0.5 GPM, 1.0 GPM, and 1.5 GPM; I will leave it at 0.5 as the default option to save most water. When I need increase water flow pressure, such as cleaning my razor when shaving, I can simply adjust it with this new Tri-Max Flow Aerator It is very simple the adjusting, just turn the aerator head at every clicking sound is a new setting.
This aerator works for both outside and inside threaded faucets, my faucet is inside threaded. For the faucets with external threads, one must do an additional step to the aerator to remove a plastic thread adapter with a tool provided. The installation was very simple for my faucet. After I removed the old aerator I tried to insert the new aerator with all the included washer as instructed. It was very easy to install the new aerator with its included washer.
I have included a short video of the installation and the differences of settings of the new Tri-Max. You can clearly see the video how this aerator works. I can feel on my hand the increase in water pressure. I have replaced many aerators in the past and by far this is the best because not only does it give you an excellent water pressure it also gives you the option to adjust it as needed. In conclusion, it works great at saving water and at giving you the option to adjust the water flow.

The Niagara Trimax Adjustable Flow Rate Spray works well. I installed it on our laundry room utility sink that gets used for all kinds of cleaning and washing jobs from home and auto repair to any dirty job that needs doing. The Niagra adjustable spray allows for a slow flow, conserving water, or a high flow for filling a bucket quickly. The adjustable sprayer is easy to install and use. It has three detents that can be felt and heard as it clicks into each flow setting. And the flow can be adjusted when the water is flowing though the sprayer as well. This is a really good product for upgrading any faucet in the home.

I got this to replace my old aerator from one of my sinks and I like that it does exactly as stated in the description and it works a lot better than my old aerator. This aerator works for both outside and inside threaded faucets, my faucet is inside threaded. The installation was very simple for my faucet. After I removed the old aerator I tried to insert the new aerator with all the included washer as instructed but it did not go in. Then I looked at my old aerator laying on the sink and I saw that it did not have any washer. The old washer was still inside the faucet and it did not come out with the old aerator. I felt the old washer inside the faucet head and I removed it. Issue solved and after that, it was easy to install the new aerator with its washer as instructed.
I have included comparison picture of the old aerator with the new one and its different settings. Maybe from the images the differences of settings from the new Tri-Max will not be very visible but I you test it with your own hand you surely feel it. You could actually feel on you hand the increase in water pressure. I have replaced many aerators in the past and by far this is the best because not only does it give you an excellent water pressure it also gives you the option to adjust it as needed.
In conclusion, it works great at saving water and at giving you the option to adjust the water flow.
