Waterproof Tablet Case
The Runoff brand waterproof tablet case is a good way to protect your tablet from dust, dirt and water damage when at the pool, beach, boating, fishing, or working outdoors in inclement weather. Compatible with touch screens for typing, browsing, etc. It does have some control issues with advanced touchscreen features such as using 2 fingers to zoom in or out. Works with stylus/ Apple pencil. Uses a Tru zip brand waterproof zipper system for a water tight seal. This fit my ipad 7 without a case, and fit the ipad with a case also. This provides minimal drop protection. Fits tablets up to 7.4"x10.3"x0.7" in size. Has a clear window on the corner of the backside which matches up with Apple ipad cameras. Takes decent pictures through the clear plastic. One drawback of this case is the greenhouse effect if using it outdoors and no way to remove heat from the tablet. One thing to note is the instructions state to only store the bag with the zipper sealed in order to maintain the zipper integrity. Comes with a removable adjustable lanyard. Claims to be submersible up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, however I did not test this feature.

Waterproof pouch
A good waterproof case for the beach or poor or Boat. Very easy to make sense of how it works and how you put the tablet in. Has a rubber zipper which needs to be handled with care. It comes with a lubricating wipe to keep the rubber from breaking apart after time. The pouch measures 10.5 inches by 7.5 inches. Can be used for anything. Comes with a strap that can be hung horizontal or vertical.

It certainly does what it is supposed to do for our needs. My wife likes to read in the hot tub and was actually using a Zip Lock bag to keep her tablet safe and dry before this arrived. I ordered this for her use and she really likes it. It allows a good smooth clear view through the front screen. The screen touch control function of the tablet works without problem through the case's front screen. We do not intend to use this under water although it claims it will work fully submerged. It works well for us to protect the tablet from splashes or accidental dropping of the tablet into the hot tub. We are very satisfied in this product and recommend it.

This item took way too long to arrive. It sat in the local shippers warehouse for over a week before it was sent out for delivery. The cover is well made and fits my tablet perfectly. The ability to use the touch capability of the tablet with the case closed is a very necessary capability. It kept the tablet dry and completely useful in the rain. A good accessory.

I don't use a cell phone, but have a wi/fi cellular tablet. While I do use it indoors, I use it more in the garage, outdoors or carry it around in my truck. The nice thing is it will easily handle my small 8 and 5/16" wide by 4 and 11/16" high tablet. By a rough estimate it could probably hold up to a 7-inch-wide by 10-inch-high tablet which is approximately 11 inches diagonally. While in the case you can manipulate the touch screen. The black back of the case does have 1 clear plastic corner, for a rear camera, but if your camera lens, mine only has one, is in the center of your tablet, like mine, it doesn't do me much good. It also has an adjustable lanyard. This will provide good protection while making the touch screen usable and easily accessible to remove the tablet for taking pictures. Another big plus is the fact that it is waterproof, down to 1 meter, a little over 3 feet, especially in Florida in the summer. Electronics are expensive and this case is cheap insurance, can you risk it?

Our primary purpose for this case is daily use/exposure to dust, sand, & occasional water splashes. This review does not speak as to the claim of “submersible in 1m of water for up to 30 mins”. Wife initially obtained this for protection of our laptop (It’s a mini and allows the disconnect of the keyboard to use as a tablet) against the unexpected rainstorm. Needing enough time to round up all tools, getting equipment back under cover & laptop without fearing it get wet, ruined. Added bonus was its protection against exposure to daily dust & sand. We use the tablet functionality outside daily & being able to keep those elements from getting in laptop nooks & crannies is huge for its longevity; since we can access tablet features via touchscreen friendly case material huge bonus. Touch screen through the case worked great. I could access every feature of the touch screen: pictures, word, main menu of laptop with no difficulty. The case is deep enough to store the keyboard component when detached under the tablet, enabling them to stay together and protect them both. Additionally, we use boating for storing phones (it could easily hold 4-5). We can take pictures without removing the phone from case so far. Adjustable lanyard & attachment points allow us to secure to boat in so many places with no chance of losing over the side while keeping what’s inside dry. Using this 1 case for multiple purposes, really makes me feel like we are getting our money’s worth (they do sell just phone cases too). Their care instructions tell you a website to go to for zipper care to keep it in good working condition; I haven’t checked that out yet. The zipper locks into place and stays tightly shut until we unzip it.

This is going to be a very easy review to write. There is nothing like real-world testing, so I zipped it up empty and sank it in my aquarium, about half the rated 1 meter depth. Within a minute, enough water had entered through the closed end of the zipper to destroy whatever device might be inside. So not waterproof at all. The seal is basically a glorified ZipLoc. See the photos. There is some extra provision for sealing at the ends, but it apparently doesn't work. If you drop this in the water, you better hope it floats and fish it out fast. I've been a diver for many years and I have a lot of experience with waterproof zippers and seals, and this is exactly what I was expecting as soon as I looked at it. However, I'm sure this case would fare much better in the splash test. The material is certainly much better than a Ziploc. The back and edges are black, which could make it hard to find those side buttons on the device. If you need wet-hands or regular splash protection - say out on a boat or in the rain, this case is probably worth it, as long as you take care to keep it clean. But if you get sand or grit in the seal, that will be the end of it. For beach use, I would use a freezer bag and throw it away at the end of the day, rather than risk ruining the seal on this expensive case with sand. In fairness, the zipper alone on my drysuit costs more than several of these cases. It is heartbreaking to watch a "waterproof" case fill up with water and there is nothing you can do. Once it has started, it's already too late. Might as well just do your dive and deal with the damage later. I looked at this review before posting it, and one test is really not enough to condemn this product, so I swabbed out as much water as I could, sealed it up, and repeated the aquarium test several times. AND ... it leaked the same way. Albeit not every time, and not nearly as bad as the first time, but it takes just a tiny amount of water to ruin a $500 iPad. I want to say nice things, but I have to tell the truth.

Works in the tub
I’ll be honest, I got this mostly for when I soak in the tub, though it will definitely be useful if I need my tablet outside in inclement weather, or end up in an unlikely beach situation. Keeps my tablet safe while I watch shows, check Instagram, and listen to meditations in the tub before bed.

Slight modification later - 5 stars
Love this product. It looks, feels, and functions as a high quality solution. I modified mine to remove the elastic band in the middle so that I could put my tablet inside without removing the case. Works like a charm.

Update to previous review
The replacement case that was sent out works much better than the first one. It spent the night in the aquarium, and is still dry inside. Fussing with it does not make it leak either.
