Q:How long can this last if storing emergency fuel? I know about rotating the gas but how long until we need to replace the plastic cans?

Answer This Question

A:  Nam4characters - There are different environments, conditions that people put a gas can through. There's not a specific time. Yours may last 5-10 years. Mine might last 10-15 years, just depending on how you use & take care of it. Thank you for your question.

by|Jan 30, 2023

A:  Until you poke a hole in it.

A:  Levi - I'm sorry you lost your O-Ring inside the can. The part number from No-Spill is 6234 or NS6234. This is currently not sold online at The Home Depot. Please search for this part number to purchase. Thank you for your question.

Q:Does it autostop when pouring gasoline?
        by|Feb 5, 2021

        Answer This Question

A:  No. You hold it over your gas tank and push the button. Gas flows out and stops imediatley when you release the button! Works great!!

        by|Feb 8, 2021

A:  Only when you stop pressing on the green tabs to stop the gas flow.

        by|Mar 18, 2021

A:  Wow all 10 people answered this incorrectly. On front label it says "Stops flow automatically".Push the button to start the flow. The gas flow will slow significantly when it reaches about 1-2 inch up the white nozzle but doesn't completely stop the flow.

        by|May 21, 2023

A:  Sniperkj - The flow of gasoline is controlled by the button on the back of the spout and would stop immediately when you release the button. Great for stopping overflows when you reach the top. Thanks for your question.

          by|Feb 11, 2021

A:  Only when you let up on the button it will stop

            by|Jun 8, 2022

A:  The trigger button needs to be actively depressed to pour, release and it stops.

              by|Apr 2, 2021

A:  No. The flow is controlled by a button at the back of the spout. Depress the button and the flow begins. Release the button on the flow stops immediately. It does not autostop.

              by|Feb 6, 2021

A:  There is a push button on/off. When my arthritic thumb hurts and I rest it the flow stops.

              by|Apr 2, 2021

A:  Not sure what you mean but there's a button (right behind the spout) you depress to pour once you release pressure on that button flow stops. Hope that answers your question.

              by|Feb 6, 2021

A:  No, it doesn’t. I watch what I am filling up and stop the pour before it gets there. It is more about stopping the leaking and dripping you have with other types of containers.

Q:Is this good for snow blowers and how long can I store gas in it.

              Answer This Question

A:  I have no idea about snow blowers - never seen one in south Louisiana ;) Works fine for my lawn mowers. StaBil says 12 months storage with their additive.

              by|Jan 4, 2021

A:  The can is fine for all outdoor equipment. To store gas in any gas can more than a month use stabilizer with fresh gas.

              by|Dec 31, 2020

A:  Yes you can use for snow blowers and any other gas equipment. Gas can degrade over time (One-two months) You can add a product to it like Sta-Bil for storing gas for longer periods of time. Thank you for your question.

              by|Feb 11, 2021

A:  part 1 - yes I use it for all my gas fueled stuff, snow blower, zero turn, tiller, etc. part 2 don't know usually need to refill every other month or so

                by|Feb 6, 2021

A:  Hi Dtip8472, Is good for snow blowers that use regular gas like a 208 cc model. I have 5 of them and store gas in them all year long adding Sta-Bil Storage Fuel Stabilizer to the gas.

                Great Gas Can
Great gas can. Easy to use: does not leak, no vents to mess with, very easy to dispense. As advertised, you will not spill or overfill with this gas can. One drawback: It does not have the translucent viewing stripes that are on the smaller no spill gas cans, so it is not easy to see the fuel level at a glance.

                Defective
This gas can is defective. Half of the gas spilled onto the truck and in a basin. The design wasn't easy to use. I tried holding it up, down, sideways, and the gas still spilled all over the truck. This is the worst design of a gas can.
