What's the difference between the wall hugger and club ?

    Answer This Question

Hello Michelle, Thank you for your inquiry. The main difference between our wall hugger and club recliners lies in their design and functionality: 1. **Wall Hugger Recliner:** Our wall hugger recliners are designed to maximize space efficiency, making them ideal for smaller rooms or spaces where space-saving is a priority. These recliners are crafted to recline backward without needing much clearance from the wall behind them, hence the name "wall hugger." They typically feature a mechanism that allows them to recline with minimal space required between the recliner and the wall. 2. **Club Recliner:** On the other hand, our club recliners offer a more traditional design and are known for their plush comfort and classic aesthetic. These recliners are often larger and more generously padded, providing ample support and relaxation. While they may require more space to fully recline compared to wall huggers, club recliners offer a luxurious seating experience perfect for lounging and unwinding. Ultimately, the choice between a wall hugger and club recliner depends on your personal preferences, space constraints, and desired level of comfort. If you have any further questions or need assistance in choosing the right recliner for your needs, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to provide any additional information or guidance you may require. Thank you for considering our recliners, and we look forward to assisting you further.

                  Answer This Question

Hello Ruth, Thank your inquiry. A glider provides movement back and forth on a fixed track. The glider's smooth front-to-back motion is less bumpy than the motion from a rocker and provides relaxation.

                    Frame Broke
Hello, I bought 3 of these recliners. One of them I received in Nov. 2024 frame seems to be broken and is leaning to one side. Clearly this one has construction issues. I called Customer Support 3 times and asked to speak to a supervisor regarding the issue. The agent never would transfer me only to say they spoke to the supervisor regarding the issue. Only to be told I was past the return date. I have only had the chair for around 7 months. Now I am stuck paying a chair that I can't even use. I purchased with my Home Depot card. Very disappointed in the chair and the service I received from the returns department at Home Depot.

Sofa was easy to assembly. The color and stitching were as expected. The base seemed solid as well. But the packaging was horrible. Seemed really beat up when I picked it up from the store.

                      Nice Recliner
I am recovering from knee surgery and decided i needed a recliner for recovery. My 0 gravity lawn chair was not doing it for me. After reading reviews i decided on this one in black. The seat is quite deep, so to sit with feet on the floor i use a pillow for back support. I dont mind the deep seating because my body is supported comfortably when foot rest is up as well when reclined. Ive taken many naps in this chair since recieving it. I bought 2 of them and glad i did.I recomend this product. The only thing is it is hard to close foot rest. Im building calf muscles closing this thing! Hehe

Noble House Home Furnishings Brown Stitched Bonded Leather Gliding Recliner comes in one box consisting of four components – base, back, and two wings. The chair is easy to assemble with the backrest lifted into place and slid down onto two projections on the base until it snaps into place. The two wings are then slid into place with keyed metal parts. The instructions suggest two people assemble the chair but I was able to do it by myself in just a few minutes. The chair is comfortably firm, consisting of 93% polyurethane foam and 7% polyester fiber. Wide contrast stitching on the seat, back, arms, and sides, and round broadhead tacks on the front give it a stately appearance. The chair is described as having a “plastic frame” versus a conventional wood frame. I tried to get a look at it, but all parts of the chair are so completely covered with cloth/padding that I could not see it, and I was not willing to start pulling staples just to get a look. In the upright position this chair has a nice gliding action, and can recline fully to almost a completely flat horizontal surface – the back still at a 10 degree angle. To recline fully requires placing the headrest of the chair at least 13.5” from a wall or obstruction, putting the front of the chair at 50” from the wall; something to keep in mind if you have limited floor space and will be using it fully reclined. 9” from the wall will get about a 45 degree recline, putting the front fo the chair at 47” from the wall. At 5’ 10” and 190# the chair size was quite generous with my feet flat on the floor when not reclined, making the use of the glide mechanism easy and relaxing. The seat base is contoured and wide with a couple of inches on either side between the chair arms and my hips. If you are of smaller/shorter stature this chair may be too large, with your feet not able to sit flat on the floor when not reclined, but this is common of most chairs. The chair is quite comfortable when not reclined, but I am pleased that it is also comfortable when reclined, and not lacking padding in two key areas when fully reclined. I have sat in much more expensive chairs that were designed such that there were gaps and/or little to no padding at the elbows and tailbone sections when fully reclined. This chair design does not have those shortcomings. The calf/foot extension is also nicely padded and supports all the way to the heel of my feet. The chair’s plastic frame seems quite stiff and the chair’s gliding/reclining mechanism has some typical shimmy but also seems adequate. The movement is free and noiseless except for the “clack” that most recliners have when locking into place when lowered. It takes a little extra effort to lock the chair into the lowered position. I was disappointed the round broad tack heads were plastic and not metal, but I only noticed when looking quite closely. And while the chair covering is described as bonded leather and has a soft touch, it is a vinyl material that does not have the buttery soft texture found on higher end chairs using a leather/vinyl blend of materials - not a complaint, just a comment. I was sitting in the chair while I wrote this review. No warranty or company contact information was included in the box. Made in China.

This Gavin reclining chair is a nice size, heavily padded, comfortable chair. Assembly was easy with the enclosed instructions; just slide the back and wings onto the seat section (no tools needed). The faux leatherette is easy to care for and the visible stitching and tacks add to the chair's good looks. The chair sits on a metal reclining base with the 4 metal legs centered under the seat section. This allows the chair to glide or "rock" slightly forward and back in the upright position. A latch on the side allows the back to slide down a little and the foot rest to pop up. The chair back does not fully recline so it can be placed close to a wall. I am a big man and this chair fits my needs.

Gavin Dark Brown PU Leather Gliding recliner by Noble House. Nice lower cost but quality piece of furniture. The construction of this piece is quite easy and quick. About 5 minutes from box to use. It’s functional push back reclining to ample padding makes this a pleasurable piece of furniture. It employs a pull release on right side to release foot pad. I’m 6 foot 4 and found reclining very comfortable. The easy clean leather look material fits almost any decor. Like other recliners it requires a push from the lower legs to lock down foot pad. The recliner isn’t as stable as some and someone sitting on the arm will tip the unit over. But seated in the recliner as instructed will provide ample stability of unit. This unit also rocks in the upright position.

Very Attractive and Comfortable Recliner. Rocker motion more than gliding. Seem to sit higher than most recliners, which is nice. Typical with most, it opens with a pull that's flush to the right side. You close the footrest by pressing your legs down. The only negative could be a positive to others. The rocker motion is sensitive and started when I sat in the chair. Takes much less effort to get the chair in motion. Installation was simple. The chair comes in 4 pieces -- the base, back, and 2 wings. The back slides fairly easily onto the "posts", while the wings slide easily onto their glides. Almost ALL of the weight is in the base. I recommend having a helper to get it out of the box. Although the instructions say to have a helper to attach the back, that's mostly to guide both sides on successfully.

This is an attractive basic recliner. The brown leather is rich in color, looks nice with light brown stitching and does feel soft and comfortable to the touch. I question the durability of the material construction as it is all stapled onto the chair and at this price point is certainly not genuine leather. The seating area is a bit short and not very deep yet it is supportive foam on the seat itself. The leg release mechanism to recline is a simple pull release switch. It easily extends the legs but is hard to retract and I often have to get of the chair and push back manually. Furthemore the leg support is very short and only covers to my mid calf area which leaves my legs uncomfortably hanging over the edge. It does rock front to back only, no swivel, and I feel does not rock enough distance to be comfortable. At this price point I would shop around and find a more comfortable full featured recliner for just a little more money rather than settle for an average model like this chair

This is a nice chair. It was easy to assemble and move around. This is actually my first chair. I live like a bachelor, rarely have guests, so I had my table, an office chair, and a floor lounger for when I watched TV. Now my table is where a table should be, and a nice recliner. It's a glide rocker when it's down, which is nice. Only a few quibbles on the quality. The recline mechanism is really stiff. Putting it back down takes some effort, especially to get it to latch. Half the time I just climb out of the chair and leave it. When it does "decline," it's with a loud THUNK! But it's a good value for what you get. I didn't think I'd like black, but it's a little more "off black" and the brown contrast stitching dresses it up. It's not too soft or hard, and seems like it might be small for some people because I'm short and it's "just right' for me. :) My astrophysikitty, Sagan, likes it, too.
