      Answer This Question

A:  Yes, the mid poles can be purchased separately (ID: 317119637) although it's not recommended to go beyond the 3 x 6ft poles in order to maintain safe control.

        Answer This Question

A:  I have used the detached blade to prune branches that I could reach without the pole. There is no hand grip on the blade so I would say it's not designed for this but it worked well for me.

A:  You can view a similar product with the pruner via Home Depot ID: 302575777. The pruner head is not currently sold separately on this site.

Strong. Long. Mean. Gets it Done.
Bought this to save from hiring service. Cut lots of branches both thin and up to 4 maybe even 8 inches thick! Works great. Heavy so be prepared.

              Buy it.
Just the right length. Anything longer is not safe. Saves a lot of money. Be careful, go slow. I am 66 and in good shape. I have used pole saws for years at home. Sawing gets your heart rate going, so rest at times. Do not cut long sections. Make smaller cuts....better control. I like this saw.

              Very useful tool
Using this tool is much better and safer than a ladder and hand saw. I should have gotten it sooner, now my trees look much better. The blade is extremely sharp. I’ve cut 5 inch branches and smaller on at least 12 trees. Some of the tree branches were over 20 feet up and were cut easily. Sharpness of the blade now is no different than on the first branch.

              Excellent Polesaw
This is a great polesaw. It is professional grade and is what Utility Companies use, tree trimmers, lineman, cable companies, telecommunications, and arborists. I have trimmed 4 trees already and have easily saved myself $500 minimum in just the trimming/limbing of branches. Staff off ladders and keep yourself safe on the ground with this. Alot of reviewers are giving out bad information when it comes to this polesaw and I will address them. First is, is that the holes on the saw blade need to be drilled out for the main bolt with the wing nut. this is FALSE, do not drill out or oversize any of the holes in the saw blade provided in the kit! The saw blade mounts on the WING NUT side and is held in place by the WING NUT and the BLACK SCREW that has already been tightened. Alot of reviewers are saying that the saw blade goes on opposite side of the WING NUT and BLACK SCREW NUB, this FALSE.. It only mounts on the WING NUT side. If you do what these reviewers are suggesting you will COMPROMISE the blade, as it will have alot of play and slop and you will end up having to buy a new blade. Second is, is reviewers are saying that the Notch-Fred Marvin saw blade is as DULL and a butter knife is sharper. What were you trying to cut, concrete? The 15" S-15 blade that is included in the kit is sharp and cuts great. You have to know how to use a polesaw. There is a learning curve for those that have never used one, or used one correctly. The saw blade cuts on the down/back/reverse stroke. You do not PULL the pole saw, you use a slight grip while cutting and you let the weight of the polesaw side in the cutting action. You also have to learn to use the flex and whipping action of the polesaw and time it right. The whipping and flex action of the polesaw plus its weight is what does all the cutting work. You are just holding it with a slight grip and using all of the polesaw's energy to do the work. Third is, is people do not understand that polesaw's require alot of upper body strength to maneuver, stabilize and use. Fourth, when setting this saw up for use at 18', DO NOT pick the polesaw up at the base pole and expect to maneuver this safely at 90*. Instead pick the polesaw up at the pole just below the saw head (where the saw head is attached) walk yourself and your grip down the polesaw, raise it simultaneously as you walk yourself down the polesaw. When you reach the middle pole, "pop up" pole saw in the air and use this popping action and your leverage to stand the polesaw up at 90* to move into position. I would wear a hard hat or if you want to be cheap a bicycle helmet. protect your head. Helmets can be bought for $39. Concussions, head trauma can cost thousands, if not death and paralysis.

Great product. Did the job with minimal effort. Cut thru 4" limbs with no problem. With the extended reach, I was able to trim everything that I wanted.
