Is this product paintable?
Novik polymer products can only be painted using specific production techniques that cannot be replicated elsewhere. It is not recommended to paint Novik Products. Our products are developed with a proprietary formula and painting process that make them very low maintenance and stain resistant. Inherently, these same properties make it challenging for paint to adhere after the manufacturing process is completed. In addition, please be aware that if paint or any type of coating is applied to the product it does unfortunately void the warranty.
What is the thickness of the product? I'm not asking for the formed depth, but the actual thickness of the stock. This info should be under product specifications, like it is for the clapboard.

What is the heat rating on this siding? In Florida the direct sun on current dark paint reaches 180 degrees on hot afternoon.
Novik products are certified and tested in independent laboratories. For example. Our products are guaranteed to withstand winds up to 110 mph and maintain their resistance even under extreme temperature variations (-40°F to 170°F). Plus, they are class C fire rated. Furthermore, our siding is cover by a limited life time warranty for your peace of mind. For more particular scenarios, like around a heat source, our product should be kept at least 30” away. You should always consult with a local code official before installation.
