A: Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, we have reached out to the vendor and their response is, "We recommend you wash the refill in the washing machine, using warm or hot cycle with plain detergent, let it air dry. However, do not use bleach, fabric softener or dryer sheets. Hope this helps!

A: It would be pretty hard to do it by hand since it is supposed to be spun to ring out but you could probably do it, it just wouldn't be done very well. I would recommend getting the bucket that goes with it to right it out.

A: I can't because the yarn strands are not that long. It certainly would not be as thorough as using the spinner. I use it often and really like the design .

A: Hey Juanita, While you can ring out the mop by hand, the most effective way to ring out the mop is by using the bucket's spin mechanism.

A: Yes, but I wash along with white towels and add bleach to the wash. If you would prefer you can also soak it in the bucket with hot water and a little bleach or with hot water and a dishwasher tablet/fluid for a few hours then rinse it out with clean water and then spin it out with the spinner on your mop bucket. Either method works great.

Not like the original

These mop head replacements are not like the original ones that were included in my full system (mop, bucket and mop head). These microfiber strands are longer and much thinner than the originals. It felt like I was mopping the floor with the plastic part of the mop since the fibers were so thin. Of course it didn't clean my floor like it should have. Very disappointing! I've attached a photo. Original on left and replacement on right. Clearly a huge difference.

refills not as good as original mop head

microfiber refill deforms when it gets wet--it won't even spin in the spinner--in the photo you can see new microfiber head and nest to it is the original--ever heard of product testing ?
