A: No, it is a complete second broom with a slightly different brush design. Both can be used to sweep into a dustpan by "choking up" on the handle, since they are very light weight.

Leaf and Debris Brooms

These outdoor brooms are truly outdoor only, for example for sweeping leaves and debris. The bristles are very stiff and they do not work well for sweeping dust off of concrete in the garage or sidewalks. These should be called leaf and debris brooms.
