Hi there, Frankie. The container is made of tin. Have a good day! – Brooklyn, SC Johnson Consumer Care
Yes. Caution when using indoors. Ventilation is necessary
Because citronella only protects the candle
It seems to work as a mosquito repellent for me. In fact, it also repelled the wasps that were making nests on the inside of my shed door, even when I didn't actually burn the candle, but just left it out there, and the scent diffuses naturally.
I guess we should have read it more carefully, as citronella is always marketed as a mosquito repellent. The manufacturer is probably just covering for a product that doesn’t really make a difference.
Best of my knowledge. citronella is not a mosquito repellent. That is a common misconception. Cintronella candles are for "ambiance', as the product states. Use Off Deep Woods Dry Insect Repellent as directed along with these candles and you will have little or no problems with mosquitos. Enjoy.
Total nonsense. I purchased two and after finally reading what you read, took the crappy things back to HD.
I agree with you 100%
Its said that a citronella candle only protects the candle from mosquitoes. Its a bit of a gimmick but they sell as it probably gives people some sense of security.
This product does repel mosquitos
Not just mosquitoes but it doesn’t repel most of insects around and it served more like ambience one rather than repellant.
0.5% Citronella New packaging lists that it is not intended to repel mosquitos, fyi.

The package does not indicate the percentage, but the smell is nice and last awhile.
