Great Offset Smoker
I have had this smoker for a little over a year now and I find it does a great job on any meat I put on it. I have seen remarks about peeling paint, get you a can of header paint from a automotive store and follow directions on can its good for over 1300 degrees or you can wipe it down with cooking oil

Superb smoker/grill
I've owned this smoker/grill for around 10 years, and it is wonderful. Used to cook for church group (100s) using massive commercial smoker grill, and this is as close to it as it gets and the best backyard grill I have encountered. Heavy duty, even heating, and cooks wonderfully. Many of the reviews talk about peeling paint....you have to season the inside and leave it seasoned! The outside of any grill will peel if you didn't season it right off the bat...and it's no big deal...repaint to keep from rusting and you're good to go. If you are wanting to keep it shiny and all spotless looking, buy one of those stainless steel gas bbq's and move to Hollywood. If you want to smoke and grill food and be the backyard grilling star, the Oklahoma Joes are the way to go.

The highland works well. There is so much room to smoke multiple meats, and holds the heat very well. Mods for the highland takes it to the next level.

Beautiful machine!!!
I got this for Xmas 2020... next to the birth of my second daughter... this smoker is the second best thing to come out of this horrible year!! The smoker was very easy to assemble. Very exciting to prep with the wood, the offset, smoke control.. everything about it felt so natural!! And the finished product produces some amazing BBQ!! I’d recommend this smoker to everyone without hesitation.

Disappointing Smoker
Purchased this smoker about almost 3 weeks ago. On the second time grilling. the paint began to fall off at the bottom.

Good quality, not great like they used to be
I expected to have to seal the lid over the grill, I didn't have to because it holds constant temps. I'm not a pro so I don't mind if some smoke comes out of the lid. The one thing I really don't like is the gap around the fire access door on the side! I wound up cutting out a 3/16" thick spacer and attaching it to the bottom of the door to cut down on some of the air being allowed through when the vent is closed. This pushed the door back out flush and reduced the gaps on the sides and top. I did not see that kind of gap on some of the older smokers that friends and co workers have. I'd recommend the smoker, but with reservations because there are some others out there that look to be about the same quality, but as much as $100 cheaper.

Heavy Steel and Paint Peel
I've owned my smoker for about a year and used it approximately a dozen times. The pros for this grill would be the heavy-gauge steel, the large wheels that are able to pull it over any type of terrain. Able to cook multiple racks of ribs with the size of the grill. The cons for this grill would be the excessive smoke leaks around the door seals. The major problem is the paint has started to peel in the main chamber. The paint has either flaked off in chunks or turned into a rubber like material. The paint has also started to discolor near the hinges on the outside.

Lid did not seat correctly
I bought this over the weekend and the lid did not fit. Who's actually took it back assembled. I got another one I'll update this once I use it.
