Not sure. I drilled small holes in mine to hang on my screened in porch. Don't know if it would be heavy enough for your project.
Way to thin for that use.
Yes, the edges are not a problem to handle at all.
If the purpose it to simply protect a wall, it would be "OK". Acrylic has excellent water resistance, and should have good chemical resistance to most cleaners and detergents used in kitchens. Abrasion and scratch resistance is fair to good. It will melt and is combustible. We've used it as an overlay for a desk / food prep area for about a year now. It does have some scratches and dulled places.
For recycling purposes acrylic falls in the miscellaneous group which I believe is designated a '7'. It is typically used in aquarium construction, but I don't know if it is a special grade.
Hello, you can order cut to size sheets through Home Depots Special Orders program. Thank you.
Ordinary acrylic lets in 92% UV and ordinary glass lets in 90% UV. Special OP3/UF5 from a frame shop only lets in less than 2%. A 4 x 8 sheet of UV acrylic is about $248, but good investment for a valuable quilt.
Hello, this material is not scratch resistance. Thank you.
No
I would say that a piece of the product with the width of only 12 inches would not bend without breaking as it is. You might (might being the operative word) however be able to bend it to the radius that you're looking for if you gently soften it up with a heat gun or very hot wet towels allowing it to bend under gravity over something with the radius that you're attempting to replicate. Now this is just a guess on my part so take it with a grain of salt.
