I use this to prep copper pipes for sweating with copper fittings and have used it to prep for sharkbite fittings. It works very well for both.
It's a 1 1/2" roll strip, so it will do what you are saying, but it's not going to cover a lot of area. This is best for small jobs, like prepping copper fittings for soldering or removing the burrs from metal or even PVC piping after cutting.
I wouldn't use this product for removing calcium deposits from your toilet bowl. It's basically sandpaper and will scratch the porcelain on your bowl. Try some of the other products that are specifically made to remove calcium deposits. If you have the patience and the nose for it, you can try vinegar.
