          This is one of the easiest and most versatile pipe hanger I have used. What is nice this hanger is adjustable from 1" to 6" size pipes, and just about any size in between. It does come with nails to fasten it to wooden floor joist. I prefer using screws, is case I need to relocate the positioning of the hanger. It works like a zip-tie. And it is easy enough to release the locking mechanism, if you have to remove it all-together.

          I got the universal pipe hanger to hang a 6" piece of duct work that was sagging in my attic. I pondered over using a zip-tie and nail, but decided on using the pipe hanger. The pipe hanger comes with two nails and allows for various angles of install. I believe I will cut it down a little to shorten it and get my duct work back where it needs to be when it cools off a little more. I can foresee multiple other applications than for what the pipe hanger is intented

          The universal pipe hanger supports and fits 1" to 6" pipe. Before you attach it note, that it works like a tie in that it has an immovable notch that holds the strap in place so once it is inserted it does not come back out. Therefore, put the hanger in place in the desired position and make sure that is the way you want it. Cut the excess off the mounting hanger bar so it fits the way you want it and then mount the hanger bar. Slide the strap part over the pipe and insert the end into the hanger and pull it through to where it is tight around the pipe. Once you are sure you have it positioned correctly cut off the excess strap. Plumbers strap breaks or rusts and this is a heavy duty easy an to install replacement with the included screws for mounting in two directions.
