4 oz. White PVC Vinyl Fence Cement

This PVC FENCE CEMENT IN WHITE didn’t work for me. The product was so thin that it would not stay on the repair spot. I had to tape it together to help hold it in place for the cement to dry. Once dried, I removed the tape and it promptly fell apart. I even had tried to let the cement get tacky, but that didn’t work either. I am not pleased with this product.

Sometimes you don't have a leg to stand on and you really need it to hold things up. I recently picked up a vinyl planter stand to place some of our more delicate outdoor plants in the house for the Winter. The unit snaps together except one leg would not stay in. I had gotten a 4 oz. tube of Veranda White PVC Fence Cement to repair a couple of pickets on our vinyl fence and decided to give it a try on the planter stand. I like the fact that the cement is white in color, unlike many that are blue, so that it is not noticed when applied. The glue sets up in about 15-20 minutes and holds the pieces together well. I am very pleased with the results.

Does the trick... I ordered this as we moved to a new community last year with vinyl fences. We got some high winds throughout the year that blew the caps off of some fence posts from time to time.. Applied this cement to corner of each of the “trouble” caps to hold them on, but not stick so much as one could not remove a cap if necessary. This seems to work well.

I received the Veranda 4 ounce PVC Fence cement, In white. I have a lot of this fence around my property and every once in a while a piece will break off. This post is on my garden gate. So I cleaned the area and squeezed out the amount needed. Then used 2 clamps to hold it in place while it dries. I will probably leave it for 24 hours, for good measure. Then we should be good as new.

The Veranda 4 oz. PVC Fence Cement is perfect for gluing the post caps onto vinyl fences. It came in a large tube big enough for any job id say. The cap when its reversed punctures the tube and its applied straight to the inside of the post caps but i found it a bit runny so i squeezed out a amount and used a artist brush to apply it better. There is a smell but it was okay cos i did the job in a large shed with the door open on a windy day. Hours later when i tested it it had done the job fine. Going forward if i have any breaks to white vinyl i now know what to use.

Usually I have used this cement to rigidly assemble PVC gates so that the screws on the hinges and the various slats have something more to rely on than just the mechanical connection. In this instance, I used it to repair a post that was broken and was set extremely deep and filled with a tremendous amount of cement. It would have been a real hassle to jack hammer out and replace. Since the fencing was mostly for aesthetics, I braced it internally with some scrap wood and screws, then slid it together using copious amounts of this cement. I believe it was dry in about 20 minutes and makes a strong bond!

Works but noxious and not clear ______________________________________________________________________________ Wow, this tube is covered in scary warnings about extremely high flammability, requiring lots of ventilation and poisoning. It’s designed specifically for gluing fence parts together such as gluing caps to the hollow fence posts, so not the safest choice for other PVC projects indoors. It comes in a basic metal tube with one of those foil seals that you puncture with a point that is in the cap top. The fumes are very strong! It’s difficult to control placement of the glue with this cap and I would have appreciated a pointed tip. The glue is thicker than wood glue but thinner than chalk. Vinyl fences come in more than white, yet this glue is white and dries white, so must be very neat with it on a colored fence. I followed instructions and put the glue just on the tabs of the fence caps and snapped them onto the posts. I tried to pull them off the next day and they wouldn’t budge, so I don’t think the hurricane winds we get will pull these caps off. This glue seems to work well on vinyl fences but wish it was clear. Because of the flammability, fumes etc., I wouldn’t recommend keeping it around the house for other types of projects that it is not intended for.

I selected this product because I have a white vinyl fence around my property. It was actually installed by the previous homeowners. Personally, I would never consciously select to have a vinyl fence. That being said, numerous times I have had boards and spindles pop off the crossbars. Since each is glued to the crossbars, that is the only way to repair it. I selected this product hoping it would make the job a little easier. The one thing I liked was that the cap had the point necessary to puncture open the aluminum tube. After that, I must say that I did not care for this product. First of all the smell is horrendous. Luckily I was using it outdoors and not in a closed space like A garage which I have once or twice had to do. Second, the consistency is so runny that it’s hard to control the drips. The only way that I could recommend using this is to take the entire panel off of the posts and lay it down flat in order to make your repair. That’s an awful lot of work to have to go through just to replace one board or spindle. But again I must warn you that if you do it that way and move the piece to the garage to make the repair, the smell is going to be too much to handle. I have used other vinyl PVC fence cements that did not have a smell as strong as this, and the consistency was not nearly as runny. All negativity aside, I will admit that this actually did work. I was concerned because when I started the repair it was in the middle 50s outside. I applied the glue, clamped the piece to the crossbar and waited for about two hours. Unfortunately, there were no drying times listed on the product. After waiting the two hours, I found that it did actually do a pretty good job holding the pieces together. While The product actually worked the way it should, the odor and the consistency are such that I would not purchase this product for use again in the future.

Veranda 4 oz. PVC Fence Cement in white is an outstanding product. The larger sized tube is reasonably priced. I needed a larger tube. I had 45 fence caps to glue down. I applied the cement to the inside edge of each fence cap. The cement didn't drip, or run at all. I held it in place for 30 seconds. The cement stuck immediately, and permanently. I wore a safety mask while applying since there is a slight odor. I would highly recommend Veranda PVC Fence Cement.

PVC vinyl fence cement white color, Would recommend on sand color post to use only on the inside of the cap, Thick formula to prevent dripping down the post, UV rays to help protect the joints, The cement gives you extra for time to make adjustments if needed, The tube application was okay took longer I would rather have used a brush to apply. Very satisfied with the product.
