Is it safe for septic tanks
OdoBan products pose no danger to septic tank systems when used for normal household use and according to label directions.
Can you pour down your bathroom sink, to remove odors?
Yes, pour directly down the sink drain, ideally at the end of the day so it can sit and deodorize overnight.
Can this be used on a concrete foundation because of a leaky toilet?
Yes, to get rid of odors on concrete floors, follow up the initial cleaning with an application of OdoBan (mix 8 ounces of OdoBan concentrate per gallon of water). Thoroughly wet the concrete surface, allowing the odor solution to reach all affected areas. After allowing time to air dry, use a clean, dry cloth to completely dry the surface. Follow up with a plain water rinse to eliminate any remaining tackiness. Repeat this process as needed, until the odor is completely gone. Keep in mind if your concrete is not sealed that the surface will absorb any liquid like a sponge so you may want to start out with a lower ratio like 4oz per gallon if you are sensitive to fragrance. This kind of surface will be harder to remove the odor as well so you may have to repeat this process more than once to really get down to the odor. So don't give up after one application!
If this product is not really a cleaner, stain remover, do I need to pre mop with an actual cleaner to remove tracked in grime, then mop again with this product to kill germs. I'm looking for something that will clean and kill germs at the same time.
This product is considered a cleaner, and a disinfectant. On the label there is cleaning solution directions, and also disinfectant directions. You do not need to do both, you can just do the 5oz per gallon of water as stated on the label to clean and also disinfect hard non porous surfaces. This product however is not a stain remover and will not kill germs on any soft surfaces.
Is Oder an safe for pets?
When used as directed OdoBan products are safe to use around pets. OdoBan is popular with veterinary clinics, grooming salons, and animal shelters due to its deodorizing capabilities, and for its cleaning effects, as well. All of the uses we recommend are EPA Approved, but our deodorizer and disinfectant should be used with caution. Keeping your pet away from a treated area until dry will keep them safe when using OdoBan Disinfectant Laundry and Air Freshener. Once the area has dried, like a mopped floor, it is fine to have pets walking across it, even if it becomes wet again. If you spray pet bedding or anything that your dog will come in contact with it will also need to be completely dry before allowing them back onto the treated surface. Having skin contact with wet chemicals could lead to a skin irritation. Please make sure you read and follow the directions and dilute as directed.
Is ODO BAN DISINFECTANT ODOR ELIMINATOR Biodegradable Want to use to Clean my Outside Trash Can .Making sure the water run off is safe to my grass and to the street (gutter) .
We do not recommend OdoBan for use outdoors, especially in situations where it will wash into water systems and potentially hard aquatic life. OdoBan is not made to be used on grass or plants. We do however make a product that is safe for use outside on many surfaces which is our Outdoor and Yard Odor Eliminator.
Is it safe for porcelain, marble and ceramic floors?
Yes, you can mix as floor cleaner mopping solution to clean, freshen and remove odors on sealed flooring, including vinyl, stone, tile, rubber, ceramic, linoleum, glazed porcelain and terrazzo (not for use on laminate or finished hardwood).
Can I use citrus scented odor band as a fabric furniture cleaner as safe for pets primarily cats?
Yes, you can use Citrus OdoBan Disinfectant on fabric furniture. OdoBan solutions should be allowed to dry completely before letting dogs, cats or other pets back into the area. Please use as directed on product label.
