The season for hot drinks is fast approaching and the Dura copper Tea Kettle is up to the task.
This is the first cook-top kettle that I have own. It is more than large enough to accommodate the family with boiling water for hot drinks. I have used large coffee cups when I need more than 6-8 ounces of hot water.
The instructions states that the material is titanium dioxide/copper and cleaning doesn’t require polishing.
It can be used on all stovetops, induction included. I had to practice using the trigger handle. There is an even flow of water from the spout. The kettle is well constructed, and it looks good. The whistle alerts you when the water is at a boil.

This is a pretty looking square teapot. The copper color is very bright and attractive. However, it is not a copper clad that would turn brown after some use. The stainless steel has a Titanium oxide fixed to the exterior that will stay bright, like a new penny, for a long time. It is tough enough to resist scratching, but is easily cleaned, however not recommended for dishwasher. The ODI company calls it "DuraCopper". New technology allows this kettle to be used on induction stove tops, electric or gas. This teapot has a nice whistle too. I am not happy that the handle and finger valve get really hot. I am either going to fix a split piece of vinyl tubing over the handle or wrap it with leather lacing, as in boot lacings.
