I applied mountain cedar oil transparent to clean dry wood outside deck. It was perfect. Waited 48 hours applied 2nd coat as was suggested on label and it has darkened significantly. Almost brown. What can I do without using a stripping product

You talk a lot about decks, how is it on really nice cedar siding? And aproximately how long with it last in a dry, sunny climate?
This product works well on decks, siding, and railings. The durability of the stain differs depending on prep work, application, and environmental factors.
Can I mix the Elite Mountain Cedar Woodland Oil Transparent Low VOC with the American Chestnut Semi-Transparent Stain? I am trying to customize the color. I know the transparency is different and am okay with unpredictable variation in that regard.

How much stain do I need?
COVERAGE: Approximately 250 to 350 sq. ft. (23 to 33 sq. meters) per gallon (3.78 Liters) depending on application technique, wood texture and porosity. Coverage figures do not include loss due to surface irregularities and porosity or material loss due to application method or mixing.
How can this be called oil based when it's water clean up? Olympic used to be linseed oil in it with spirits clean up. I think you need to re-lable it water based.
This product is an Acrylic/Oil stain. It will clean up with soap and water. It still does have oil in it that will have to be able to penetrate into the wood.
Will this product change the color of the wood?
