About This Product

Moorpark Apricot trees consistently produce a bountiful harvest of the largest and sweetest apricots grown today. If you've never tasted an apricot fresh off the tree, then Moorpark apricots will absolutely redefine apricot flavor. Also known as Wenatchee or Wenatchee-Moorpark, Moorpark apricots are exceptionally sweet and fragrant while also maintaining an essential amount of acidity to create the classic and perfect apricot flavor. This pure golden fruit grows much larger than other apricots, typically reaching the size of a large peach. These beautiful golden apricots are well-adapted to rainy and windy climates, as well as unpredictable spring weather that can damage the delicate apricot blossoms. In fact, Moorpark is also one of the latest blooming apricot cultivars. The rare adaptability and resilience of this tree, combined with its exceptionally sweet and large fruit, has made Moorpark one of the most popular apricot trees for home orchards all across the country.

Dwarf Moorpark
This came in perfect! And it was not a bare root. It has a long narrow black pot with dirt and lots of green leaves. We just planted it and it looks great!

    Dead Apricot Root
Don't waste your money on this bare root apricot tree. It never grew. Sadly it was a remembrance gift for a grieving friend. The tree would have been a lovely addition to her garden, a gift that was appreciated and well cared for, but just did not thrive. It's too late to return the item. I should have bought her a bouquet of flowers.

        Large caliper trunk
I recently bought 3 trees from Online Orchards through Home Depot. I got a Dwarf Fuji, Moorpark Apricot and a Gravenstein Apple tree. All trees were shipped well packaged. The Moorpark Apricot trunk caliper was much larger than the other 2 trees, but I did pay a little more for that. None of them seemed to have much roots on them, but it appears that they are starting to bud our. So far I am very happy with my trees. Thank you...

Nice size and good looking bare root tree. I would only say that there could be more of a root system and the tree had broken dormancy and was budding out a little upon arrival. Two weeks after planting it looks like it should make it just fine.

I really enjoy the taste of apricots and can eat several at one sitting.    However, buying them fresh from the store is expensive and they're not always as tasty as they look.    The decription of this Online Orchards Dwarf Moorpark Apricot Tree caught my attention.... "...consistently produces a bountiful harvest of the largest and sweetest apricots grown today".    I figured, why not grow my own apricots, so I ordered this one. The tree I received was a 4 ft tall sturdy specimen, 2 yrs old and it was very well-packed and protected - no broken branches !   The bare root was carefully wrapped in straw and burlap, branches had been pruned and it has a lot of buds just waiting to open.    It's a very healthy looking tree.  I have a nice sunny spot picked out (in an area of 2 other fruit trees) in which to plant my Moorpark Apricot tree when the weather gets consistently warmer.    The weather right now is still too unpredictable.   I will need to do more research as to when this tree will start producing fruit - that information was not part of the instructions and the website doesn't state it either.   I am really looking forward to the day I can pick apricots off of my own tree.  I will be earing them right off the tree or making pies, jam, dehydrating them or slicing them into ice cream ! I am already collecting recipes !

This is my first experience with dwarf trees. I can tell you that the delivery came well packaged except for the fact it was not labeled "Live Plant" and because I was expecting something else I did not open it immediately. However, it did not seem to cause any harm to the tree. While I have purchased the pot for the "Online Orchards Dwarf Moorpark Apricot Tree - Largest and Sweetest Apricots (Bare-Root, 3 ft. to 4 ft. Tall, 2-Years Old) I have not planted it yet. But the review was requested ASAP so here it is. It arrived alive and it is my hope it will grow and flourish.

I have purchased a few fruit trees online in the past. The time and care this barefoot tree was packed and shipped is obviously done with care. In the past I've received trees only packed in a plastic bag with a handful of sawdust. I prefer to plant fruit trees in the early fall, but I'm in zone 9b and don't fear the winter. Being it's a dwarf tree I'm okay with it in a barrel. Very healthy specimen with great roots.
