Cold hardy all the way down to minus 35°F, famously rapid growers, and quickly providing a dense shade canopy means that there's a lot to like about the Norway Maple Tree. Because it grows so quickly, this unique variety of maple is often selected to beplantedin rows to lininga driveway, fence, or boundary. The dense foliage of Norway Maples provides both a natural border and heavy shade much faster than other maple trees. This feature also makes Norway Maples an attractive option to be planted along with newly constructed homes and buildings, or anywhere immediate shade is desired. Autumn brings a vivid and bright yellow hue to the normally light green foliage, giving this hardy cultivar the signature autumn appeal of all maples. At maturity the Norway Maple is quite large, reaching a height of 60 ft. to 70 ft. with a spread of 40 ft. to 60 ft. For rapid shade and cold tolerance, look no further than the fastest growing maple and exceptionally cold-hardy Norway Maple Tree.

        NOT A GREEN LEAF!!
I was so disappointed! I specifically wanted a green leaf Norway Maple tree, but I got red leaf trees. Customer service was good though and they gave me a refund.

          Invasive species!!
Please don't purchase this plant! It is highly invasive and will out-compete our beautiful native trees- like sugar maples!! It is listed as invasive in WI and MN, among around 10 other states.

            beautiful tree with huge leaves
love this tree. gorgeous tree that looks almost the same as the sugar maple tree. the reasons people have for not liking this tree are absurd. whoever doesnt like this tree is very ignorant about maple trees. im proudly throwing hundreds of seeds from my Norway Maple all over the place, anywhere i think they will grow!

I only received a stick with roots. No leaves or branches whatsoever. I planted basically a stick. We will see. Not holding out much hope.

Did not expect a stick to arrive instead of a tree. It didn’t look like it was even a viable tree. Very disappointed

For the love of God, don’t plant this tree.
It’s an invasive species, illegal to plant in several states. It will ruin any grass under it with its dense shade, shallow roots, and resource greedy system. Just don’t buy it.

                Illegal In NH
It is illegal to plant Norway Maple in New Hampshire and other states. They are a non-native invasive plant. If you plant them you'll be sorry, as they seed aggressively, and destroy sidewalks and driveways with shallow roots. I can't believe Home Depot is selling them.

Why would you purchase a Norway Maple
Please take one of 1000 in my backyard killing sugar maples and white pines! Invasive, and problematic in many states as the shallow roots are bad. Brought from Europe in the 1700s because of their durability. Bad move. Can't believe HD sells these!
