The large and bright fruit will beautifully clash against the dark green foliage, creating a unique addition to your landscape that is both delicious and ornamental. Unlike many varieties, red Gold nectarines are best eaten fresh, right off the tree, with the skin on. This creates the combination perfect combination of sweetness and tart flavoring and will always leave you wanting more. The nectarine is also widely adaptable and low-maintenance so you don't need to go the extra mile for home-grown fruit when you grow a Red Gold.

The red gold nectarine tree from Online Orchards arrived very well packaged and ready to plant The root ball was well wrapped and protected. The tree was larger than I expected it to be, and well pruned. I followed the recommended planting instructions and am looking forward to picking fresh fruit from this tree for years to come. Local selection of fruit trees can be hit or miss and is a bit pricey. I'm glad I discovered online orchards as we have a large property with a lot of fruit tree variety already, and are always looking to add more.

Trees arrived in a timely manner for planting. They were well-packed and well-wrapped with damp straw around the root ball and burlap around all of that. They were easy to unwrap and easy to plant. The roots were not too long or too short and were in good shape, which made planting easy. We look forward to watching them grow and enjoying their fruit in the near future.

The Red Gold Nectarine Bare Root tree from, Online Orchards arrived in really great condition. And was packaged very well. The bare roots were well protected. And they were wrapped in some kind of grass that was still moist. And all wrapped together with burlap. The branches were very limber, telling me that the tree was very fresh. I soaked the roots over night and selected a sunny location for planting. I then followed some advice and dug the hole in a square pattern. Time will tell. But I think with the quality of the tree that I'm off to a good start.

This is a really nice, semi-dwarf tree Nectarine Tree which will max out at about 10’ when mature. RedGold is one of the most popular nectarine varieties. The tree arrived bare root, healthy, and nicely sized with a decent rootstock. The buds were starting to break. You don't need a second tree for pollination so this RedGold is perfect for small spaces. It’s pseudo-spring here in Pittsburgh so I planted the tree in a handy spot that will take advantage of the spring flower and fall foliage shows as well as provide easy access for picking sweet and nutritious nectarines. Planting the tree was simple enough and I made sure to spread out the roots and to not bury the graft knuckle keeping it just above the existing soil line. This was a good experience.

Very healthy specimen with great roots. I have purchased a few fruit trees online in the past. The time and care this barefoot tree was packed and shipped is obviously done with care. I've received trees before packed only in a plastic bag with a handful of sawdust. I prefer to plant fruit trees in the early fall, but I'm in zone 9b and don't fear the winter. No chill hours this season. Looking forward to 2021

I ordered two of these small fruit trees, the dwarf D’Anjou pear, and the Red Gold nectarine. The company shipped them both together in one box, which was fine. They are basically a 3-foot pruned tree trunk, with a straw and burlap covered root ball. The ones they sent me are definitely a little more sparse looking then most of the online pictures I'm seeing, so I'll be watching how that develops after planting. Website says they are 2 years old. Going to be a while before I can plant them, there’s still snow on the ground, so I looked for dormant storage instructions online. Says to store in an area that is around 35 degrees to 45 degrees, for up to a month before planting, soaking the root ball every 3 to 4 days, so I have initiated that process with mine, storing them in my garage. Planting instructions seem pretty straightforward, if you've ever planted anything, although it does specify to water your young trees frequently after planting, every day or two at the least. So for now, I'm just soaking, & waiting for spring.

Nectarine tree
The first tree came overa week late and was not packaged well enough to withstand natural respiration for over 10 days - the tree was dead. The second one came quicker but still the roots were not well packaged and the just starting new leaves were compromised. I am waiting to see if it survives.
