The specifications say the Thermostat is Adjustable. So if it is internally adjusted to kick on at a certain temperature, how do I adjust it to a lower temperature, like 50 degrees?
You only have the option to turn the heater on and off. The thermostat is internal and is not manually adjustable.
I need to keep an 8x8 storage shed that contains a fresh water tank from freezing. Can the thermostat be adjusted to kick on when the temperature gets below 50 degrees?
The unit has an internal thermostat. The heater will turn on and off according to the setting it's put on.
The ones I bought in 2023 still had tip switches. they are not listed in 2024. An internal heat limiting switch will shut down after your house is on fire. did you do away with tip switches.

A cat can knock one over and then turn it on. One of my cats would turn on my compressor so I would come out and play. One of my cats tried to fax his butt to Russia but couldn't get the number right. He really hated Putin.
The unit has a tip over safety feature, it will automatically shut off if it's tipped over but you should use caution with fur and hair.
