I see that Orbit did claim Schedule 80 certification. However, there is reason to be skeptical of that statement. First, the wall thickness measures consistent with Schedule 40 not Schedule 80 which is thicker. Second, there is no certification marking on the outside of the pipe as is commonly found on Schedule-rated piping. Third, the manufacturer does not recommend this piping for "continuous" water pressure, only intermittent use for a sprinkler system spray/rotor head riser. This does not mean that the product is not fit for its intended use. However, one should strongly consider these caveats if considering using this riser for any other purpose (including irrigation usage on the supply line where it is under continuous city pressure).

Note that Orbit claims 100 PSI rating and for irrigation only. Yet, Orbit also claims this is Schedule 80 PVC which is questionable. Schedule 80 PVC 1/2" is rated at 509 PSI maximum operating pressure. Given Orbit's caveats about usage, it still should be fit for the intended use (Intermittent-only use in an irrigation system as riser only for sprays and rotors). This is not recommended to be used for continuous operation, so even for an irrigation system, it would not be appropriate on the supply side of valves.
