The Orbit Super-6 Electrical Water Timer offers 2 separate programs so you can set watering schedules for individual stations (not included) by day of the week, desired watering intervals or even and odd days. The timer comes with a remote control that operates the stations from up to 200 ft. away.

Orbit Controller with Remote
I'm not sure why Home Depot doesn't stock this item in their stores. It's a great controller and the remote control is the greatest part. No more running back and forth to the controller when testing/adjusting sprinklers.

So far so good
Installed it at the end of the season, so I haven't put it through its paces fully.
Works well. Takes a bit to get used to the programming style, but is flexible enough for most people.
Having the remote is nice.
Are there better programmers? yes. This is a good buy and a good price.
Time will tell on the quality of the unit
Take the time to read the manual for the programming methods, Not as flexible as other timers, but should be fine for a basic system.

Good buy
The unit works good, however the 6th zone on mine does not turn off after auto run has finished. Maybe mine has a defect. Easy to set up.

Not the best
This timer has a very small liquid cristal screen which is very difficult to read in a dark garage. This unit is shipped without any batteries and any mounting hardware. Programming is somewhat combersom because two available programs are not identical - have different timing options. Having a holder for a remote is a nice feature, however the remote itself has limited functionality: while most people will use it for system testing and tuning, time choices are 2, 10, and 30 min. Fortunately, there is a stop button. The timer came faulty. It was a good idea to do all the testing before installation as the timer responded to the remote only one time out of 5-8 attemps at the close range. I spent hours for the testing checking my batteries, pressing a reset button on the unit - it was just bad. I returned the timer to the store but did not want to test my luck again with this unit and spent about 23 dollars more for a much better Orbit model 28566 at another store since Home Depot did not carry it.

Replaced an old controller. Very compact and easy to install. Use the remote from my easy chair.

great buy
very easy to set up, works as promised, LOVE the remote. makes extra watering a snap and makes it easy to adjust system without the in and out of the valves.

OrbitSuper-6 Controller with Remote
Bought this unit to replace an existing 20 year old TORO controller. The Orbit controller was extremely simple to install and easy to program. I didn't think that I would have much use for the wireless controller but it has proved to be extremely handy.

Don't buy this model if you need a master valve feature to control a pump
In years gone by, a master valve control was built into sprinkler timers. So I assumed that this timer would come with this feature built in as well. Not true. There was no information in the specifications and/or the
description to suggest it did or did not have this feature. So, I assumed it had this feature as my old timer had. Well, I learned the hard way that Orbit and/or Home Depot do not include information on this feature when describing the their products. Another model from Orbit did have this feature, but again this feature is not mentioned in the description/specifications and/or packaging. So, make sure when dealing with Orbit products you know what you are buying. May need to go to Orbit customer support on the web before purchasing. If I had done this, I would have saved grief and money (had to pay for return shipping myself) and time.

I love the remote feature!
Without question I am totally satisfied with this Orbit controller! I bought it to replace my old existing controller that i had "forever" due to the fact it stopped working. The remote feature makes it easier for me to make adjustments in my sprinkler heads without having to go back and forth to my controller. To me, it's an excellent product!

Works as advertised, remote is great
I have not purchased an irrigation controller since 1995 and they have evolved quite a bit. This one with remote is really handy. I have about a 1/2 acre with quite a few stations and the remote makes troubleshooting quicker. It performs as advertised and even with the terrain and elevation changes, the remote works perfectly. Nice feature.
