IT WORKS
I've been using Ortho Home Defens for years. When I lived in an apartment I would spray it outside my door and in the hallway to keep bugs away.
Now that I have a house I use it to keep ants out as well as spiders and other insects. I know it works because I never see insects alive they're always dead.
Since I started using Home defense I've recommended it to friends and family and they swear by it's effectiveness too.

I bought the Ortho Home Defender Insect Killer and there are absolutely NO INSTRUCTIONS for getting the nozzel on the container! It won't go on, the plastic spring doesn't move & I'm afraid I'm going to break it trying!! I was all ready to start spraying & now I can't!! Cheap & annoying & too late to return for a refund as it's all unwrapped & taken apart! NOT COOL, Ortho! And your live chat is conviently not working, so guess I'll have to throw it away!

Doesn't work anymore
Have used this for years treating the perimeter of my home and it was effective. Last bottle I purchased did nothing. I truly watched a spider walk across a door threshold I had just sprayed. Contacted Ortho, maybe they had a bad batch, but they ignored me. Purchased Spectracide for the first time and it worked well.

Good product crappie sprayer.
I cancel my home pest control when their price went up and service went down. Now I spray this product around my house and outside barrier. I liked the product. Probably the same chemical as the pest control guys use. But I could never get the battery powered sprayer to work. It would just spit and stop. I finally gave up and bought a Scott 2 gallon weed sprayer. Now this sprayer works! If you’re going to sell a good product why would you use a worthless application sprayer?

Stained my brand new carpet!
I used my bug spray many time and had been pleased. I recently moved and decided to spray inside and out my new town home the day before i was to move in. Move in day came and i noticed right away that there were spots on the stairs carpet. I knew it was from the bug spray because this was the only product that i used to spray the baseboards of the stairs as well as other areas but the stairs is the only carpeted area. Im so upset!

the liquid is great the packaging not so great
I have been using this product for decades to keep bugs out of my house. unfortunately they decided to switch to a battery-powered sprayer of extremely low quality. I wrote a complaint to them and call them on the phone, and after much begging and pleading they reluctantly sent me a new sprayer. it worked for about the same length as the old one. maybe one day. they need to get the quality control of their packaging back. I'm attaching a photo of the two spray heads that I have neither of which works. so now I'm going to pour this product into a spray bottle and spray it by hand around my house.

If, after changing the batteries, the motor still does not run, then it can be a sign that there is something wrong with the wand itself and it will need to be replaced. Beware: Kills Plants
I used this around my home & near my roses and boxwood. These well-established plants immediately turned brown and started to die. Even 2 years later the hedge didn’t recover. Very toxic.

Roaches...SMH Where?!
A Google search lead me to this product. Property management at Dryden Apartments failed to properly clean a unit before a new tenant moved in.
It was also infested with roaches. This product works extremely fast and doesn't give off toxic fumes or smells. Use the Ortho Defense spray along with the Combat gel to seal cracks & crevices and you'll notice a significant drop in pests living in your home.
