Orthene 12 oz. Fire Ant Killer

Burned the grass all around and did NOT kill the ants. Have used before with good results and no grass-killing, but this cannister completely burned the grass slightly wider than the product actually touched. And did absolutely nothing to the ants.

Kills the ants but is also killing my grass! Why is it killing my grass? Have the ingredients changed?

I bought this and used it Sunday.. woke up Monday with a rash that continued to get worse and spread to my whole body.. after a trip to urgent care, a steroid shot and a prescription for oral steroids it has finally started getting better.. please be careful using this.. At least it does work in the ants.. and the smell is HORRIBLE!!

This product, although it is for ants, works very well for me against German cockroaches. When I use it in the house it kills them all.

I purchased this product because another reviewer indicated it was also effective at killing bees. I do not know how this product is for killing Fire Ants. I have a shed sitting on landscape gravel with a wood floor (as opposed to concrete slab and slab floor). In 2017, bees had made their way under the shed and created a large colony/comb. I called a bee exterminator and that person removed a 2' x 3' section of the wood floor and took out a large honeycomb and killed all the bees. He indicated I needed to paint all the wood with KILZ or the bees would be back. I did not paint and the bees came back in 2020. This time I tried several termite products, regular outside bug spray and indoor bug spray. All aggravated the bees but did not exterminate them. As a last resort before calling the bee exterminator for another visit, I bought this $11 bottle of Fire Ant Killer and sprinkled no more than 1/4 cup all around the base of the shed, including inside and partially underneath the section that had been removed before. Within two days all bees were dead. I was able to remove the 2'x3' section that had again become filled with honeycomb and throw away. Will have to install concrete slab and remove all wood at some point in the future as the bees continue to visit sporadically but I keep a line of the powder all around the shed base. Note this product has a very strong smell. This product kills bees quickly.

It's very effective to get rid of all kind of small insects just fallow the instructions

I know this product is for ant but it works great for other insect such as water bugs and roaches! Every apartment I have moved in that wasn't well kept, I would visit my local home depot store and purchase this stuff and it works magic!!!! I place this stuff around every base board, outside front door, balcony door and any hold that can bring unwanted rodents! This product is the best on the market!! I definitely recommend this!!! It does have a cabbage type smell at first when you open the top but after place it down, you can’t smell it!! This is perfect to keep all insect away! If you are worried if your pets will be infected by it! No!!!

I only ordered this product cause of all the reviews I read which said it killed other bugs other then just ants. I live in a apartment and and needed something for cockaroches yes cockaroches this stuff not only works for (Ants) well Guess what?? I kid you not!! It worked!! I Highly recommend it just to make Note it does have a awful smell to it!! But hey it works.
