Terrible. Warped and Snapped after Installation
The cedar toned 4x4x8 posts were supposed to be pressure treated and looked good at purchase. Fence installer hand selected the posts. Just a few days after install of 300 feet of fencing, these cedar toned posts began to seriously warp, pulling the fence panels with them. One by one, we had to dig them up and replace them, digging out cement and removing and reinstalling panels. As contractor took them out, he showed me what junk they were - they snapped like toothpicks under light stress. And when they did, you could also see the wood inside was not properly pressure treated. There was barely a light coating on the surface, but zero inside, just weak untouched wood. We got a small refund for the few extras we had not installed, but HD gave us a hard time about the installed warped posts. What a rip off! And we had all the extra costs of getting treated pine replacement posts (cheaper and SOOO much stronger). Plus the extra labor costs to remove and replace this cedar toned garbage. And the delay and disruption. Awful experience. We had a windstorm a couple of days ago and all the treated pine posts did fine... of course one of the few cedar toned posts (that we left because it hadn't warped yet) snapped clean off at the base, downing two panels. Again, these cedar toned posts are garbage. Don't buy them. You have been warned

I purchased 4 of these for an 8 part section of my deck. This is certainly a far better approach to unfinished pine 4x4 posts. The cedar finish compliments the rest of my railing system nicely. I was able to save quite a bit of time by not having to paint or stain.

I've used six of these posts so far--two to replace rotted red cedar posts in an existing fence and three to screen outdoor AC units. The posts were delivered promptly to the local Home Depot store, and were easy to ship home in the back of a Toyota Highlander. Each post was individually wrapped in cardboard, and in good condition. A few had lengthwise splits/shakes, but not large enough to cause major concern (I faced the clean sides towards the garden). The posts are of solid, fine grained wood, and I was able to work the ends to reproduce the decorative details on pre-existing fence posts. All of the posts were straight, easy enough to set in gravel/concrete post holes, and trim to length. I doubt that they will warp now, given that they are locked in place by fence sections. My main reservation was about the price, but was willing to pay more than for standard pressure-treated lumber for improved appearance.

Unfortunately 2 of the pieces suffered minor damage due to over-tightened banding. However, the pieces were usable and the post milling was good and the surface finish pleasing. The posts are now in place together with the fence rails. I am using old garden tools for palings and getting hold of them will take time. Photo attached of part completed fence

Good posts
I read reviews on these posts before buying I was a bit leery. I was worried about wetness as another reviewer stated and twisting and spiting once in the ground. However the posts came palatalized and wrapped very nicely I had to unwrap them and inspect and to also load in my trailer. Mine were all very nice and dry and stain even. So the manufacturer must have heard the complaints and corrected the problem or I just got lucky. However if you get bad ones refuse delivery and force them to send you good ones. I know its a hassle to have to come back but at least you will get what pay for that way.

I ordered a total of 8 and they are supposed to be pressure treated and kiln dried but 1 of the posts had a 1/2" warp in it and was not usable.
