Some like it hot. This 0.39" thick cordierite baking stone loves it — it's heat safe to 1450°F! It works in the oven or on the grill, and we call it a pizza stone, but it's just as good for breads and tortillas.

How can it be 13 x 14 and be called 13” round

Hi Art - Thank you for your question. I apologize, it appears there is a typo in this product description. The pizza stone has a 13in diameter, and is 3/8in thick. I hope this helps in your buying decision! -Sara

Worked better than thought, kept burner under pizza stone off, others on, worked great that way, didn’t burn bottom of pizza. Fun for having friends over on the deck.

Solid, durable, minimal maintenance. I put it on a charcoal grill to test it’s limits and got the stone up to 800-1000 degrees no problem. Quickest and best way to make a pizza btw. Kind of wishing I would have leveled up and gone with a little wider stone.

My first attempt made me angry. The bottom of the dough didn't cook at all....
My first attempt made me angry. The bottom of the dough didn't cook at all. However, my second time I raised the oven to 450, let the stone preheat with the oven, then a few more minutes while I get the pizza stuff ready. 15-20 min to cook thoroughly, still set at 450. It came out much better. The next time I cooked the dough 3 minutes before putting toppings on. Even better! Downfall, every cheese/topping that sticks to the stone stains it. Hot water and a paper towel to clean is annoying, but keeps it clean enough.

Been using it in my oven. Word of advice though, always make sure your peel is covered with cornmeal/flour well so your pizza doesn’t get stuck. Made that mistake once, my fault though. Kind of a pain to clean off but other than that, it works really well and I’ve had some great pizzas made with it.

It is a nice pizza stone. I bought it to improve the way my oven works in my travel trailer. I baked 2 loaves of banana bread and they were not burnt at all! Very happy with this purchase
