    would this product withstand 500F
    ByFeb 16, 2026

    Answer This Question

Hello Jagdat, the maximum Service Temperature of Pink Next Gen Fiberglass is 250° Fahrenheit. Kraft facing is NOT rated for flame spread or smoke developed and should never be left exposed.  Kraft facing must be in contact with a code approved 15 Minute Thermal Barrier such as Drywall or Gypsum Board. Owens Corning does not recommend the use of Kraft paper in contact with or use within a heat source that will generate temperatures over 250 degrees F. Thank you for your inquiry.

Should I use faced or unfaced under a mobile home for the floors?
            ByJan 24, 2026
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

Hello James, There is specific insulation designed for mobile homes which is much wider than standard batts. Using standard batts may work, but can be very difficult. We suggest contacting the mobile home manufacturer to see if they have better options or suggestions. Thank you for your inquiry!

Bad exhaust smell, Home Depot very helpful resolving problem
Tried to edit previous review but could not. Had bad exhaust smell from insulation. Would stay with me 12-15 hours out of the day after I was exposed.I removed the insulation and noticed there were brownish strips on some of the insulation. Not sure if there was something wrong with that batch but I would get headaches and felt nauseous when exposed for prolong periods. . Home Depot was very helpful resolving my problem. Thank you Home Depot!

Thank you, Chris, I am so sorry to hear about your experience. During the manufacturing process the insulation is cured in an oven. In some cases, the binder is not completely cured and may cause a burnt sugar odor. This odor should dissipate over time. That time can vary depending on the weather conditions. If this continues to be an issue, please give us a call at 1-800-Get-Pink (438-7465) Monday-Friday 8am-6pm EST so that we can address your concerns further.
The insulation was very easy to install in my garage. Right away I noticed a big difference in the air temperature. I should have installed it years ago.

This Owens Corning R-13 Faced fiberglass insulation has worked out so well for us in past installs - it insulated very well at a good price. This is the 3rd cabin we’ve installed it in. Way to go Owens Corning!

Worked perfectly what I needed. Filled the gaps between the ceiling and A/C ducts perfectly. No more cold air getting through!

                    Perfect fit
I bought this to finish my garage. Slipped right between the studs and staple it up and covered it with drywall. Thank you.

I have a 24x24 garage I built . I live in North Ga where it can get pretty cold on Lookout Mountain . I decided to insulate the roof rafters to hold the heat in better. I bought 50 2x8 ft R13 insulation batts. When I bought the pack I thought no way could 50 pieces be in that one pack. I was wrong once you could cut it apart it started expanding and for 2 days I stapled insulation up. I still have 12 more to install but the 38 I.put up made a huge difference. The last 2 nights it has been down in the low 20s and I was able to keep it 40 so I am happy. The people were so nice and helped me load it. A+++

The insulation was good for the most part, but some of the rolls had folded Kraft paper backing which meant there was no insulation attached if you stretched out the paper.

Cotton Candy For My Garage Celling
My garage had noting above the celling and vented attic pulls the heat away. On windy days, the IR thermometer used to show the celling as the coldest part of the garage. Yes, colder than the slab. After install, the celling now reads about the same as the ambient air temp. I keep it 65-75F, outside temps have been 10-40F. One downside is one package the batts were folded with the facing inward instead of outward, this led to a lot of shedding when opening and handling.
