Hello Clay, While it is possible to compress R-15 into a 2.5" cavity we caution that it may be difficult to install and may cause bowing of the drywall. Thank you for your inquiry!
Hello terr, there are 8 pieces in a bag. Thank you for your inquiry!
Hello HM, Please contact your local Home Depot for product availability and pricing information. Thank you for your inquiry!
Hello Mike, It can be done for walls and for band joist areas. Foamular should be cut to fit-but not too tight. Place in cavity then use can spray foam to seal around entire board. This will also hold the board in place. Then add fiberglass batts over the foamular. If you compress the insulation to fit within the wall cavity, it will lower the R-value. Thank you for your inquiry!
Hi kim, we recommend using the proper size insulation for the project. Please contact your local Home Depot Pro desk for availability of proper sized insulation in your area.
Hello Jimbo, EcoTouch Unfaced Fiberglass Insulation Batts have a flame spread / smoke developed rating of 25 / 50. Thank you for your inquiry!
The product description say 8 per bag ???
I don't think that home depot sells the unfaced R-15 as individual bags. I needed about 20 bags to do an attic.
One bag will cover 103.98 square feet. Thank you for your inquiry!
I suggest you determine your local code requirements pertaining to the recommended R-value and vapor barrier placement for your region. Many of our products are labeled for specific applications, however those are typical recommendations according to most code requirements. That does not necessarily mean those are the only uses for the product. We are unclear of your specific application when it comes to your ceiling, however as long as you are following code requirements, the R15 unfaced insulation could be acceptable in your case. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact a representative at your local Home Depot ProDesk and they will be happy to assist you. Or you can call 1-800-HOME-DEPOT (1-800-466-3337) and a someone will be happy to assist you as well. Thank you for your inquiry!
