Questions & Answers

how many cubic feet will the 96 oz size fill?

can not find anyware
Asked by: randy
This 96-ounce kit will make approximately 150 cubic inches of usable product. The thickness you apply it will determine the coverage area. At 1/4" thick you will get around 600 square inches of coverage and at 1/8" thick you will get around 1200 square inches.

Ordered the product, plan to mix with stain, question, what proportion of stain, water, and PC-Woody Epoxy paste to mix? I will read the directions if provided on the package. One reviewer said an ounce of PC-Woody makes 1.56 cubic inches of mix, so would the difference be half water, half stain? Or use more water, less stain in a different proportion? I will test to achieve good consistency, and I plan to stain over the paste as well

It's expensive, Home Depot won't sell it in stores (you have to special order it), you need to use PC Petrifier first, it's difficult to get a 50-50 mix of "A" and "B" and blend it properly, and I had to watch a lot of YouTube videos first to learn how to use it. Other than that, it works well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Filling Cedar Siding Holes In preparation of repainting our tonge and groove vertical cedar siding, I noticed quite a few missing knot holes as well as some holes created by woodpeckers. PC-Woody Wood Epoxy Paste was the ideal solution to fill various sizes of holes. Mix only enough to be used in about 15 minutes to avoid hardening too quickly. After filling holes with a putty knife, we allowed them to cure before slightly sanding the areas so they would be completely flush with the existing wood. This product dries to a light wood color and can be stained or painted. We are using paint so the finished product should look smooth and uniform. I'm sure there are many other uses for this product such as repairing damaged or rotten exterior wood siding, posts or other exterior decorative treatments. It was much less expensive to repair the otherwise perfectly good wood siding rather than spending more on a complete residing job. This was done by a DIY homeowner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff Used this over 10 years ago to restore scallops on a gate canopy. It still looks great. You can smooth this while "damp" with acetone. It also sands just like wood once dry. It also does not shrink like auto filler. Wish I could buy this in the store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product We have had great success using this stuff to repair rotted sills around our 100 year old home. It is easy to use, not that strong smelling, and sets up pretty quickly. It does not run, which is very helpful in vertical areas, and it is very easy to work after it sets up. The only negative aspects: there is no dye to show clearly how well it is mixed, and the lip around the edge o fthe can makes it tricky to get all the material out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product I used it to repair a dry rot 4x12 beam that was exposed to the weather. I cleaned it and used the PC Petrifier as instructed then the epoxy. The next day I shaped it and primed the beam. The alternative was to remove or replace the beam. It was framed in between two walls, so not a practical solution to maintain the design of the home.
