Can the door opening be changed to the opposite side?
Yes. The door is symmetrical, and can just be flipped around. Just remove the screw from each hinge that secures it to the face frame and re-install them into the pre-drilled holes on the other side.
Does the assembled depth of 24" include the depth of the drawer front / door?
It does not. The cabinet depth is 24"to the face frame, and the doors and drawer faces add another 3/4".
