DrainEASY Universal No Clog Bath Tub Stopper combines the features of a strainer and stopper into one. The DrainEASY Bath Tub Stopper easily replaces the standard bath tub stopper and its unique design captures and rips the hair that would normally go down a drain and cause a clog. This reduces the possibility of long hairs collecting in the trap and other places. DrainEASY operates by a simple push of the hand or foot and require no outside power source.
  • Dual function stopper and hair strainer/snare
  • Reduces clogs by collecting hairs at the grate
  • Grip n rip design helps to chop hair
  • Universal fit - 3/8 in. or 5/16 in. thread to match the drain shoe
  • Durable finish options - CH, BN, PB, AB, ORB
  • Drain by pushing with either the hand or foot
  • Return Policy

Horrible product, doesn’t drain at all
The very first time I use this, as soon as any hair got in it, it would not drain at all. I was standing in water up to my ankles. Adding insult to injury, I couldn’t even remove this without calling a plumber back out because of the giant screw holding it in place in the drain. And it’s useless for breaking up hair so you would have to be able to figure out how to open it up and pull hair out each time you used it, which didn’t work for me. Worst product ever.

Dear Customer, Sorry to hear about the issue you faced. Please contact us at sales@pfwaterworks.com and we will so our best to address your concerns including offering a replacement or alternative options. This product is a strainer stopper and installs and installs exactly like a regular stopper. If the amount of hair in the strainer is more than its capacity, it can reduce the flow. The purpose is to remove the stopper and remove the hair. This may be inconvenient but the benefit is that the hair would not go down and potentially cause a clog down the line. Please do reach out to us and we can offer you alternate options as this product may not be suitable for your situation. Thanks. pfwaterworks
Top white plastic not very durable but there's a fix.
Although it does the job of catching hair, the top plastic that supposed to cut the hair isn't too durable or probably the design needs to be readjusted. The three plastic clamps that holds the screw at the top portion eventually loosens up causing the top to slide and results to unwanted closing of the drain. If the design is changed to a [ pull and twist counterclockwise up to hold it open] and [twist clockwise and push down to cut the hair] instead of pulling up and down, most likely it will solve that issue. It's a good concept, maybe Kohler or other companies can come up with products like this one as well. I just bought a replacement, mine lasted for only two months - the top three plastic clamps didn't hold the top portion of the cutter. I recommend this product but with caution - does it's job catching hair, but flimsy materials and design.

            It Works!!
This retrofit device stops hair and other drain clogging items before they become problems in the pipes; if the drain rate slows or stops after a bath or shower, simply push the stopper closed which will shred the item causing the problem, and a normal drain rate resumes upon pulling open. For heavy blockage (e.g., bits of sponge that accidentally became part of my test), it may require an additional close/open cycle to fully clear the debris: 1) Easy installation - threads into place of old stopper and comes with 3 threaded mounting adapters 2) Solid, positive feel for opening/closing - seals tight 3) Large knob for easier grip during opening 4) No perceptible slowing of tub drain rate with debris free water I would recommend this product.

Hasn't clogged but doesn't get all the hair
Ive had this on my bathtub for a few months now. It was easy to install but takes a little adjusting so water can properly drain out. It comes with several threaded adapters to screw into any drain. When installed, there is about an 1/8" gap around it in the drain that some hair has snuck past. You can see the gap in my picture. It does catch most of the hair but some I still have to pull out of the drain. To cut the hair it caught, you simply push down the top and you can feel it cut. The cut hairs were about 1 inch or so long. They wash off pretty easily by just using the shower. The stopper isn't perfect but it is a better option than pushing an atrium drain cover over the drain that collects dirt and mildew.

Good Buy Over Traditional Drain Plugs
Solid idea along with visual appeal. The plug works well as a normal one would and the finish is good enough quality to make it worth the purchase. The shredding capability it adds is just as handy as a person would expect. Some products offer multi-purpose at the cost of final appeal in looks or overall ease of use. It's a few extra bucks well spent. My only concern is longevity of function with amount of use. Be it multiple times daily, once daily, every other day and so on.

            Not Quite Universal Retrofit-Measure First
Unfortunately, it was not possible to install the stopper in the tub drain as the tub drain was not included in the "replaces most standard" category, claimed by the product. The tapped opening in the "spider" was smaller than either of the two brass adapters provided, and the "webs" of the spider were too broad to permit the use of the "universal" adapter" provided. Check first that your tub drain "spider" is compatible with the included hardware to permit easy installation. The stopper assembly is of all-plastic construction ("chrome" plated plastic on the top of the stopper), and, while the lower portion (with the hair cutting fingers) appears to be of substantial construction, the upper stopper proper feels very lightweight and could possibly be cracked by stepping on it. If one has a compatible drain fitting and the intent is for a "quick fix" (maybe selling a house or vacating an apartment) this may be a viable option. For the long term other options should be pursued.

            Amazing in Hairy Situations
DrainEasy No Clog Bathtub Stopper Retrofit in Chrome This makes hairy situation hairless. Installation was easy. It took me less than three minutes. The system comes with many adapters so it fits a variety of tub drains. If anyone in your family has long hair then this is a must. It definitely collects the hair. And then when you’re done showering you just pump it up and down and it dices up the hair. Its important to pump it up and down every time otherwise after a few showers it is filled with hair and you have to clean it out. I’ve included some pictures. My house is older and the drain lines are getting old so keeping hair out of the lines is a big plus for me. I like this product.

I figured I would try it since I constantly have to clean out the drain of my wife’s hair. Install was just as easy as any other drain stopper, but I’ve taken it out to replace it with a normal one because the water drains out very slowly with the thing. There is a little bit of hair in it, but it shouldn’t be nearly enough to make it drain as slowly as it is.

Hello Customer - This is a simple hair catcher stopper so if there is enough hair to clog it, all you have to do is to remove and clear the hair - the design itself is to catch hair. however if that is a bother, we do have alternative stopper options - with or without hair catcher - Kindly contact us at sales@pfwaterworks.com and we can assist with alternative solutions. Thanks. pfwaterworks

Returning. Does not fit our drain. Rating based on information on package and inadequacy of "clip" option for securing in place in our drain. The screw options for securing are probably fine in drains where the stopper depth fits and one of the screws is usable.
