Thank you for your question. PINTY PLUS Chalked Paint is not specifically classified as a self-sealing spray paint. It uses a standard aerosol spray system.
Can this be used on exterior metal garden items??
This would be a suitable application for Pinty Plus spray paint. We do, however, recommend testing in a small inconspicuous area to ensure desired results.

Pintyplus Chalk finish can be used on many types of plastic; however the use of a plastic primer is recommended and we cannot guarantee the outcome if the surface is to remain flexible. Always test on an unseen portion before committing to painting the entire object.
